The CLK DTM AMG is no ordinary car — rarer and much more hardcore than the sought-after CLK Black Series — as it is a homologation special, acknowledging Bernd Schneider’s Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters championship win in 2003. Just 100 coupes were made alongside another 80 convertibles, and each came with a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 producing 582 HP and 504 ft-lbs of torque that was mated to a Mercedes-Benz SpeedShift 5G-Tronic automatic transmission that made it good for 199 MPH and a 3.9-second 0-62 MPH time. As MANHART notes, the Mercedes-AMG family is soon going to part ways with its notoriously good fun four-liter V8 engine in exchange for turbocharged and hybrid-powered four-cylinder two-liter counterparts, so in honor of this fabulous piece of engineering, MANHART unveils its take on the Mercedes-AMG C63 S Estate. Dubbed the MANHART CR 700 Wagon, it comes with an apt 712 HP and 920 Nm of torque, which not only cuts the 0-62 MPH time into the three-second mark, but allows it to go from 62 MPH to 124 MPH in just 5.5 seconds. Earlier this year, Nissan unveiled its electric Ariya SUV to the masses, and now it has used this design to inform a single-seater electric concept performance car of the same name. The Nissan Ariya Single-Seater Concept, to give it its full name, promises a high-performance future for the Japanese marque, perhaps in an era where the GT-R and Z-model cars are obsolete. Just hours after the Japanese marque unveiled its Ariya Single-Seater Concept, Nissan is back and has outdone itself on the futuristic front with the unveiling of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) co-designed Lunar Rover. Like the Ariya mentioned above and the soon-coming production-ready Ariya SUV, the Lunar Rover features an all-electric drivetrain comprising two motors — one at the front and one at the rear — while also using the same e-4ORCE all-wheel control technology that’s found on the two Ariya models. The technology involved here will help the Lunar Rover manipulate the dusty and treacherous terrain of the moon, which in turn will be used to help its real-life cars cope in similar conditions, such as driving on sand. Tesla is now selling a Cyberquad for kids for $1,900 USD. The four-wheel ATV quietly launched on the automaker’s website more than two years after the company announced full-size Cyberquad ATV to accompany its Cybertruck. The kid’s version, which is designed for children eight years and older, is powered by a lithium-ion battery and runs on electricity like the larger version. The pint-sized vehicle is equipped with a 15-mile range and top speed of 10 mph, while its physical construction is composed of a steel frame, a cushioned seat, adjustable suspension and LED lights. The ATV has three speed settings: 5 mph, 10 mph and 5 mph in reverse. Teasing the third generation of its racers ahead of its 2022-2023 season, the FIA and Formula E have unveiled an electric vehicle that boasts powertrains at both the front and rear for the first time, with technology to generate as much as 40% of the total power used during a race through regenerative braking alone. 250kW is sent to the front end while 350kW goes towards the rear, giving the Gen3 a total output of more than double the Gen2. Mercedes-Benz produced some of its most handsome cars back in the 1990s, with many becoming highly sought-after modern classics in today’s market, such as this Brabus-tuned SL (R129). The market has seen models such as the S600 — notably, Michael Jordan’s Lorinser-tuned version — and slightly newer cars such as the CLK fetch big money on the secondary market, and it’s only time that the SL, which might we add is returning under the Mercedes-AMG guise very soon, will be the next car to reach grail status in the ‘Benz family. It goes without saying that any Bugatti is a special piece of engineering, but the EB112 is up there with some of Bugatti’s finest, and rarest, work of all time. Now, this 1-of-3 completed yet conceptual example is up for sale with Schaltkulisse. In the 1990s, Bugatti was in desperate need of a revival, so it enlisted Romano Artioli to save the company. In turn, he wanted to create a limousine for the brand — which turned out to be the EB112. Following on from the success of the EB110, Artioli penned the EB112 by taking cues from the marque’s heritage, namely the 57 SC Atlantic’s spine, and models such as the 1920s’ Tipo 55 2 door, the Tipo 32, and 57 Tank. Up until today, BMW‘s M division had only ever made on standalone car, the M1. A 1970’s supercar, the M1 was ahead of its time visually and, in many ways, the same could be said about the new BMW Concept XM. This hybrid V8 SUV combines brute force with electrification, topped up via typical plug-in charging, to deliver 740 BHP and 737 lb-ft of torque. While no official stats have been revealed, we suspect with BMW’s top-spec four-wheel-drive system the XM will be good for a 0-62 MPH time of around four seconds, comparative to the likes of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan or Bentley Bentayga.
