The suped-up “Black Edition” Benz is a uniquely made vehicle boasting six wheels and a custom-made subframe. Inspired by the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6X6, the car manufacturer wanted to provide a more practical alternative to the G63 behemoth. The X 350d features a 3.0-liter turbo V6 diesel engine with 258 PS (about 254 HP). Mecum Auctions is putting up the actual 1994 Porsche 911 Turbo from Bad Boys for sale. The auto is in pristine and rare condition and has been issued a certificate of authenticity by Porsche itself, speaking to how original it is. The car was initially owned by director Michael Bay but was later sold to film producer Pat Sandstone. Down the line, the car made its way to the Drendel collection who has been the car’s current owner since 2014. This 1994 model is just one of 350 examples built specifically for the American market that year. It was also the final year for rear-wheel drive in that generation of the 911 Turbo. Mattel has tapped into childhood nostalgia by giving the Fiat 500e a Barbie makeover. Debuting at the LA Motor Show, the iconic Barbie toy car gets a real-life electric vehicle rendition. The Barbie Extra Car is a functioning two-seat convertible designed as a promotional tool for Mattel’s latest range of fashion dolls and accessories. According to Road Show, the car boasts an all-electric powertrain that offers 100 miles of range and 147 pound-feet of torque. Using CAD files, Mattel was able to duplicate the body of the toy car on the actual Fiat 500e. Kia and its recently-unveiled EV6 have come to end Tesla‘s reign. Aside from carrying an impressive powertrain that makes its GT-spec all-wheel-drive faster than a Lamborghini Urus, the EV6 is equally quick when it comes to charging. On Wednesday, the Korean automaker revealed that the new crossover has now set a new world record for fast-charging, beating out Tesla’s previous record set in 2015 by its Model S. The new Guinness World Record was set over a 2,880-mile journey from New York City to Los Angeles. Covering the entire trip, the Kia EV6 was only plugged in for 7 hours, 10 minutes and 1 second, a massive improvement from the previous Tesla record of 12 hours, 48 minutes and 19 seconds. Toyota has revealed its new race car design for the 2022 NHRA Funny Car Championships, changing its entries from Camry to GR Supra bodies. The NHRA Funny Car competitions are straight-line quarter-mile drag races that date back to 1969. In contrast to the narrow needle-shaped top fuel dragsters, the rear-wheel-drive Funny Cars feature carbon-fiber bodies that resemble the conventional exterior of production cars.
