GM and Chevrolet are continuing to expand its electric vehicles lineup to include not only the Chevy Silverado but the Chevy Blazer and Equinox EV SUVs arriving in the spring and fall of 2023, respectively. The Equinox is set at a more affordable price point and is expected to have a starting price of around $30,000 USD before tax and incentives. Chevrolet VP Steve Hill said, “The Equinox has always played an important role for Chevrolet as the second-highest selling brand nameplate. Following a UAE Rolls-Royce Cullinan for its Dubai showroom opening, luxury German aftermarket firm Mansory has now revealed a bold new Mercedes-AMG G63 P900 Limited Edition 50th UAE fitted with unique top-of-the-line specs, an aggressive body kit, and a one-of-a-kind colorway. The G-Wagon was made on request for the UAE by President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, commemorating the nation’s 50th anniversary. After letting Hiroshi Fujiwara loose in the VISION-S, Sony has now officially unveiled its next foray into the automotive market, debuting the VISION-S 02. Like its predecessor, the VISION-S 02 is fully electric and is powered by a twin-set of 200kW motors, coming together to provide 536 BHP to all four wheels. Little is known about the performance, however, Sony has said that it’ll do “More than 112 MPH” while carrying up to seven passengers. Car advertisements in France will now encourage consumers to take more environmentally-friendly modes of transportation. A decree published in the French government’s Journal Officiel last week laid out messages that car advertisements need to include beginning in March: “For short trips, choose walking or cycling”, “Think about carpooling”, and “For daily travel, take public transportation.” The messages need to be easily readable or audible and clearly distinguishable, the government says, in digital, print, radio, movie and TV ads that reference car travel. Following the introduction of the BMW iX back in October, the German automaker unveiled its performance variant of the all-electric SUV at CES 2022 in Las Vegas. The new 2023 iX M60 will be one of the first high-performance electric vehicles ever to be introduced by BMW, bearing a similar size and form to the gas-powered X6M. Initial performance specs boast 610 horsepower and 811 ft-lbs of torque, achieving 0-60 in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. Charging to 80 percent takes just 40 minutes on 120kW fast charger while a regular 11W AC plug will take 10.5 hours to complete. RM Sotheby’s is offering a stunning 1955 Mercedez-Benz 300 SL Alloy Gullwing at the Arizona Biltmore & Spa in Phoenix later this month. Toyota has just celebrated its 50 millionth Corolla produced with the release of a manga series. Spanning each decade of the iconic car model — 1960 to 2020 — the manga currently has five volumes covering some of the model’s history with clever Easter eggs hidden throughout. Each chapter ends with a special scene dedicated to real owners and the photos they’ve submitted to Toyota. Fans of the AE86 can find an “episode” dedicated to the car.
