Tesla is now selling a Cyberquad for kids for $1,900 USD. The four-wheel ATV quietly launched on the automaker’s website more than two years after the company announced full-size Cyberquad ATV to accompany its Cybertruck. The kid’s version, which is designed for children eight years and older, is powered by a lithium-ion battery and runs on electricity like the larger version. The pint-sized vehicle is equipped with a 15-mile range and top speed of 10 mph, while its physical construction is composed of a steel frame, a cushioned seat, adjustable suspension and LED lights. The ATV has three speed settings: 5 mph, 10 mph and 5 mph in reverse. Teasing the third generation of its racers ahead of its 2022-2023 season, the FIA and Formula E have unveiled an electric vehicle that boasts powertrains at both the front and rear for the first time, with technology to generate as much as 40% of the total power used during a race through regenerative braking alone. 250kW is sent to the front end while 350kW goes towards the rear, giving the Gen3 a total output of more than double the Gen2. A 1970’s supercar, the M1 was ahead of its time visually and, in many ways, the same could be said about the new BMW Concept XM. This hybrid V8 SUV combines brute force with electrification, topped up via typical plug-in charging, to deliver 740 BHP and 737 lb-ft of torque. While no official stats have been revealed, we suspect with BMW’s top-spec four-wheel-drive system the XM will be good for a 0-62 MPH time of around four seconds, comparative to the likes of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan or Bentley Bentayga. When it comes to the Ducati Panigale V4 and V4 S, you’d be hard pushed to make improvements on an already rather perfect motorbike — but that’s exactly what the Italian company has done for the 2022 model year. Tiny — and we mean tiny — adjustments have been made at various points around the bike. For example, 1.5 HP has been added thanks to a new oil circuit and an 18% larger exhaust outlet, resulting in a total output of 212 HP and 90.6 lb-ft of torque and a 0-60 MPH time of around three seconds. Nissan on Monday announced that it will invest ¥2 trillion JPY (approximately $17.6 billion USD) in the development of new EVs and battery technology over the next five years. The investments will fund a larger plan the company is calling “Ambition 2030,” which aims to release 23 new electrified models, including 15 new EVs, with electrified vehicles composing half of its vehicle catalog by 2030. Nissan confirmed that 20 of the vehicles will launch in the next five years alone, as the automaker aims to establish a market mix of 75% electrified in Europe, 55% in Japan and 40% in the US and China by 2030. Back in March this year, Chinese tech giant Xiaomi expressed interest in producing its own electric vehicle, and now more news has surfaced regarding the Chinese firm’s new business venture. According to a new report from Reuters, the company is now undergoing a two-phased construction of its new automotive plant along with building the division’s headquarters, sales and research offices all within the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone.
