This 1972 Range Rover Shooting Brake Will Set You Back $165,000 USD

Rare car collectors will be delighted to learn that a 1972 Range Rover 4×4 Shooting Brake is now available for auction over at Bonhams. Just one of six prototypes every made by the automaker, the experimental shooting brake was designed with an extended chassis and wheelbase in order to serve as an ambulance for areas harder to reach. In fact, this chassis number 355-04063A currently on offer is only one of two built in 1972 as a stepped roof ambulance, with the other model constructed as a left-hand drive. The rare vehicle first passed through the hands of a Stratford-upon-Avon Land Rover dealer, who sold it to the local branch of the St John’s Ambulance Brigade a year after it was produced. There, it would serve for 44 years before being purchased by the current seller in 2017...

BMW 7-Series Tupac Was Shot in is On Sale for $1.75 Million USD

The ’96 BMW 750IL that Tupac was shot and killed in while leaving an altercation at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas is back on the market. The car which was originally registered under Death Row Records is now being sold by Celebrity Cars Las Vegas for $1.75 million. Tupac’s black BMW made an appearance on the reality series Pawn Stars back in 2018 at an asking price of $1.5 million but has yet to find a buyer. According to the seller, the car has been fully restored but retains a small indentation where they believe one of the bullet holes may have been. The ’90s era 7-series sports a 5.4-liter 12-cylinder engine and five-speed automatic transmission with 121,043 miles showing on the odometer. As most of the car’s value comes from its place in hip-hop history, records p...

Mugen Livens up the Honda Civic Hatchback With Faux Carbon, Rims, and a Sports Exhaust

Honda unveiled the 2022 Civic Hatchback with little fanfare, but that hasn’t stopped the marque’s best friend, Mugen, from spicing the car up a little bit. While Mugen’s take on the new hatchback is far from the Mugen RR or last year’s Civic Type R, the additions do make for a much tastier-looking and feeling car. For example, Mugen offers a stainless steel exhaust with chrome-tipped finishers that’s been specifically developed for a sportier note, as well as a new radiator cap and oil filter, Type S-branded brake pads and upgraded brake rotors and braided brake lines, and of course, a host of visual tweaks too. As for aesthetics, Mugen offers a black front bumper lip spoiler, matching side skirts, a rear diffuser-style bumper add-on, and a rear spoiler that&#...

1016 Industries Unveils Stunning Purple Carbon Fiber McLaren 720S

Back in March, automotive customizer 1016 Industries unveiled its exposed carbon fiber and 3D-printed performance part-clad iteration of the McLaren 720S, and now it’s back with a stunning purple version. Informed by the same carbon fiber and 3D-printed formula, the 720S seen above is anything but stock. The lightweight development and addition of exterior body parts have resulted in a weight loss of 250 lbs, while the four-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine has been boosted from 710 HP to 900 HP, courtesy of a BF Stage 2 tune. An exclusive stainless steel race exhaust system has also been fitted to make sure that the 720S sounds as raucous and untamed as possible. It sits on carbon fiber-surrounded rims that are highlighted with flashes of orange on the center locking caps, brake cal...

James Jean Wraps the Koenigsegg Agera RS in His ‘Pomegranate’ Artwork

James Jean has graced Koenigsegg‘s 2017 fastest road car — the Agera RS — with a full artistic makeover using his Pomegranate artwork. The Koenigsegg Agera RS made headlines in 2017 as it reached a top speed of 277.9 mph. While that record has since been broken, this makeover is just as impressive as it covers the entire hypercar — a model where only 25 units were ever produced. Wrapped by vinyl specialists Wrap Legends, this is now the world’s fasted art car and it was done to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Festival of Children Foundation. Those in Costa Mesa have a chance to see the real thing on display throughout September. Would You Buy This Converted Mercedes-Benz G-Class G500 Pickup Truck?

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has had quite the life, starting as a military vehicle before being made into a civilianized off-roader and becoming the luxury SUV that it is today — but aside from some custom Geländewagen iterations produced in the ’70s and ’80s, it’s seldom been seen as a pickup truck, like this one you see above. Based on a 2005 G500 Grand Edition, the G-Wagon has been converted to a pickup truck using the bed from a Scandinavian Airlines custom-built Geländewagen from the ’70s. Converted by the Netherlands-based company ikWILeenG, it has since been fitted with an extended frame and driveshaft and 8cm Teflon body mounts, as well as Bilstein shocks, 16″ Hutchinson Beadlock wheels, a sunroof, air conditioning, and a Pioneer touchscreen infota...

DRIVERS: Mark Arcenal and His 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S 993

DRIVERS is a series highlighting influential individuals in the HYPEBEAST sphere and their passion towards all things automotive. The approach is simple: what is car culture to you, and why do you have a passion for it? Each contributor is given a chance to shine light on their personal vehicle or vehicles, and asked to remark on how they are driving culture forward, both metaphorically and literally. Car culture and streetwear has a natural synergy, from the styles and creativity, to the levels of expression and flair for the outlandish. While both industries have their true separate powerhouses and innovators, one of the pioneers to mix both worlds is none other than Mark Arcenal, founder of ILLEST Brand. For years, ILLEST has stood as the go-to label for the streetwear aficionado who ha...

The BMW iX’s Bowers & Wilkins Speakers Have Real Diamonds in Them

Back in March, the German marque BMW unveiled the iX — simply put, its first-ever all-electric SUV — and now we’re learning a bit more about some of the tech that’s gone into the car, more specifically, its Bowers & Wilkins speakers that feature real diamonds in them. Inside the car’s cabin are two Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Dome tweeters which are made using real diamonds to increase the speaker’s rigidity. As a result, the tweeters are as un-flexible as possible, meaning the final sound includes very little rattle that results in the clearest audio around. Additionally, Bowers & Wilkins’ “Nautilus Swirls” technology has also been included to make unwanted sound waves coming from the rear of the unit disappear for less distor...

Supreme Takes Its DUB Collaboration for a Spin in New Teaser Video

Supreme has just teased one of its most outlandish accessories to date — the upcoming wheel collaboration with DUB. Taking shape similar to DUB’s 2019 Wooze model of spinning rim, the wheel receives a red and white makeover with the Surpeme logo incorporated into the outer edges of the spinning patter while another ray pattern is placed in an opposite direction to give off the illusion that multiple parts are rotating at the same time. Expected for a drop this Thursday, the Supreme Spinner Rim was teased on a black Rolls-Royce Cullinan while Key Glock’s “Russian Cream” can be heard over the video. There’s not much info on what the wheel size will be but it is reported that a set of four will cost around $12,000 USD. View this post on Instagram A post sha...

Tesla Might Be Planning to Launch a New Electric Vehicle Without a Steering Wheel in 2023

Tesla and Elon Musk reportedly have plans to launch a new electric vehicle by 2023, but it might not have a steering wheel. With this new announcement, Tesla is promising to take autonomous driving to another level. Last year, Musk announced at Tesla Battery Day that he is planning on making a $25,000 USD electric car. Now, the CEO has made it clear that he wanted to begin commercial production of a $25K USD self-driving vehicle by 2023 and posed the question, “Do we want to have this car come with a steering wheel and pedals?” This budget Tesla could lend itself in hot waters since Musk has recently been under fire for his autonomous over projections lately. Recently, Musk himself admitted that building autonomous cars was more difficult than he had expected and that he may ha...
