In honor of its 95th anniversary, Milanese coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera unveiled its latest creation, the Arese RH95. Marking another milestone in the company’s history, the Touring Superleggera Arese RH95 embodies a streamlined design philosophy and enviable Italian finesse. See all 66 photos Built on a well-known mid-engine exotic, which we highly suspect is a Ferrari 488 Pista, the Arese RH95 employs the chassis and drivetrain of its donor car. Hence it comes powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V-8 rated at 711 hp and 567 lb-ft of torque. Power goes to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, while the run from 0-to-62 mph takes 3.0 seconds. The top speed is 211 mph. Update: Bugatti finally released images of the finished La Voiture Noire, which are embedded in the gallery below. What’s got 16 cylinders, four turbochargers, 1,500 hp, 1,180 lb-ft of torque, and an $18,905,235 price tag? That guy, aka the one of one Bugatti La Voiture Noire. Too rich for your blood? Well, don’t sweat it as the car’s already been sold to a “Bugatti enthusiast” who is “fascinated” by the Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe. Previously, we reported that this one-off creation cost the owner $12,500,000, but the mystery buyer actually ended up paying almost $19,000,000 after taxes. La Voiture Noire was built to celebrate Bugatti’s 110-year anniversary, as well as in an homage to the second of the four Type 57SCs—the original...
When a company completely rethinks its midsize sedan strategy, dropping a two-decade-old name and giving it sharp styling, it’s not likely to enact large changes to the four-door family vehicle come the following model year. So it is with the 2022 Kia K5, which brings some minor updates but no significant updates to an already much-changed sedan. First of all, there’s a small price hike. The base LX trim’s price increases by $100 to $24,685, while the top-of-the-line GT trim with its powerful 2.5-liter turbocharged I-4 sits at $32,085—a jump of $500 from its $31,585 sticker for 2021. This extra fee is partly offset by additional features on several trims, including the GT, including additional wireless chargers and a standard in-dash navigation system. See all 81 photos T...
BMW 4-Series Full Overview Let’s get the barf emojis, raised eyebrows, and pointing and snickering aimed at the redesigned-for-2021 BMW 4 Series‘ new flared nostrils out of the way now. The huge dual grille openings resemble many things—buck teeth, the nasal passages on a bare skull, etc.—but few will recognize that they mark a return to the original tall, skinny kidney grilles applied to early BMW models a century ago. Historical footnotes aside, the weird face tragically distracts from the rest of the 4 Series design, which is svelte and attractive, like a three-quarter-scale 8 Series coupe. The controversial front end at least gives the new 4 Series a talking point, because behind that schnoz there isn’t a whole lot to write home about. And that’s sort of an issu...
During Computex 2021 (aka Taipei International Information Technology Show), AMD disclosed it is providing APU- and RDNA2-based GPUs to Tesla to use in its new Model S and Model X’s infotainment systems. That explains Tesla’s bold claims, noted on its website, that “[u]p to 10 teraflops of processing power enables in-car gaming on-par with today’s newest consoles” in its Model S and Model X vehicles. Essentially, Tesla is putting a gaming computer on wheels, but more importantly, it shows the company is doubling down on a smart-connected vehicle future. The Hardware The current MCU2 (the second-generation media control unit) found in all Tesla models on sale today uses an Intel Atom processor, which is a lower-end product usually found in budget laptops. A dream drive in a pair of cars from two of the world’s most prestigious automakers, Bentley and Rolls-Royce? Were the world working as usual, we’d jet to old Blighty, pick up our rides in the shadow of Big Ben, and cruise up to a hotel in an old Scottish castle with haunted rooms and a French chef. Another day in the coal mines. But the world isn’t quite back to normal, so we’re simplifying. We plan to meet in Beverly Hills, one of the country’s richest neighborhoods, then waft our way through tony Brentwood and Santa Monica to the ocean. We’ll turn up the Pacific Coast Highway and cruise 30 miles through some of America’s finest scenery before stopping for a picnic on the beach. We’ll take Route 101 up to Santa Barbara, a rather ordinary ro...
Of all the changes both large and small on the 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, there’s absolutely no mistaking one of them: The exclusive new Electric Lime Metallic paint color. The hue’s name is accurate, that is for sure. It’s the exclusive color for this year’s TRD Pro, joining a list of previous TRD Pro tones that ranged from muted to bright, but none of those paint colors has ever popped quite this hard on a TRD Pro. If Electric Lime is too bright for you, the 2022 Tacoma TRD Pro will also be available in Super White, Magnetic Gray Metallic, and Midnight Black Metallic. If last year’s exclusive color—the milky Lunar Rock—was just too blah, Electric Lime Metallic might be just what you need. See all 7 photos A new exclusive color might be the head-turner, but ...

See all 17 photos The purpose of the Bronco Off-Roadeo is to help familiarize owners with the off-road technology, capabilities, and functions of their Bronco or Bronco Sport. More than a mere educational seminar, the program provides ample behind-the-wheel practice and plenty of skill-building time navigating the steep hills, challenging ledges, and trails of central Te...
BMW 2-Series Full Overview As I pulled up to the pay kiosk at my local drive-through car wash, I noticed a sign posted that read, “Tesla drivers, make sure you know how to put your vehicle in [N]eutral before entering car wash.” I smiled, assuming that many Teslas must have struggled to enter the wash before management decided to hang that sign. Fast-forward two minutes, and the 228i Gran Coupe and I were also struggling as we entered the conveyor tracks of the wash tunnel. The attendant motioned for me to put the vehicle in neutral, but try as I might, the BMW’s gear selector kept toggling from drive to reverse and back again. I got nervous, rolled the window down, apologized to the agent, and then told him I’ve found neutral before, but for some reason the secret ...
Instead of one V-8 offering, there are now two. The F-Type R continues on with a 575-hp version of the 5.0-liter supercharged V-8, but it’s joined by a lower-output and lower-priced variant to form the new base model in the F-Type lineup. This version, dubbed the P450, produces 444 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque, and is capable of dashing from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds regardless of drivetrain option (rear- and all-wheel-drive are available), per Jaguar. Maximum speed is 177 mph. See all 40 photos Mostly unchanged is the revised styling of the 2021 model. The headlights get a mild tweak for P450 duty, there’s some unique badging, gloss black exterior elements, and 20-inch “Style 6003” alloy wheels done up in dark gray with “contrast diamond turned” surfaces. While details are still scarce, we expect the Corolla Cross to share its hybrid components with the Corolla Hybrid sedan. This means the Corolla Cross will likely make do with 121 horses from its 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and associated electric motors. It’s unclear if the Corolla Cross Hybrid will offer all-wheel drive or not. Regardless, we expect the Corolla Cross Hybrid’s fuel economy to top 40 mpg. When the Corolla Cross comes out this fall, it will be powered by a 2.0-liter l-4 engine that makes 169 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque. A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is standard across the line. Besides sharing its powertrain with the Corolla sedan and hatchback (in those cars the 2.0-liter engine is an available option), the Corolla Cross also rides on t...
