Lesser-Known Beauty Brands I’m Certain Are Going to Big

Trust me—Forgo will be one of those brands that you’re going to start spotting on the bathroom sinks of all your chic friends. Yes, this Scandi brand are making hand soap stylish and, even better, sustainable too. It’s a really simple concept: purchase a starter kit containing the beautiful, reusable glass soap dispenser then add hot water to the powder soap provided to create your hand soap. “We can send 20 refills of hand wash in the same volume as one bottle of soap,’ Allon Libermann, Co-Founder of Forgo explains. “Plus, the powder formulation means the packaging can be paper.”  You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. Trust Me—These Will Be the Most Requested Hair Colours In Salons This Year

The truth is, while it might seem as though our hair has been put through the wringer, for most of us, the situation isn’t as bad as we think. In fact, several hairstylists I have spoken to this year have been surprised to find out that a lot of their clients’ hair is healthier than ever before. Why? Because we’ve been giving our strands a serious break. Less heat styling, colour treatments and bleach application, as well as many of us turning to nourishing at-home masks and serums mean that our hair is in a much stronger state than it was this time last year. And while we sadly didn’t get to live out our hair colour dreams this year, things are looking up for 2021. With salons re-opening in England today offering us all some much-needed hope that we can get back in salon chairs ...

Fashion Experts Are Wearing Trench Coats on Repeat Again—Here’s How

Like Breton tops or loafers, gold chains or blue button downs, trench coats are one of those staples items you automatically reach for at this time of the year. However, just because these clever items become almost mandatory in a woman’s wardrobe doesn’t make them exempt from having moments where they seem even more covetable than the month, season or year before. Just because a trench coat isn’t new or different or a trend doesn’t make it any less important this spring. In fact, fashion experts appear to be relishing the effortlessness a plain mac can bring to dressing and are therefore leaning on them once more for easy-but-effective outfit builds.  This year’s trench coat wave isn’t full of gimmicks, restyling or re...

We Try Before You Buy: 6 Joyful Dresses We Really Love for Summer

Our We Try Before You Buy series aims to take the stress out of shopping and eliminate the number of post office visits you make each month to return failed online orders. We test new-season buys and styling ideas so you don’t have to. On the day the country begins to reopen, there is a new sense of optimism and finally a reason for us to dress up once again. Dresses had become redundant for many over the past 12 months—apart from those who took the bins out in ball gowns, of course. However with weddings rescheduled and restaurants back open, dresses are the joyful item we’re certain will end the loungewear era. Our We Try Before You Buy series sees us try on items to give a closer look at the pieces that we truly love and explain why we think they are worth it. As many plan the...

From L.A. to London, This Is What Our Editors Are Wearing This Spring

In the digital age, outfit inspiration can come from all avenues: from street style and Instagram to archival Getty searches. But sometimes you can’t beat the real deal, and by that we mean drawing ideas from those around us and the people we pass on the street. Luckily, working at an online fashion publication means there is no shortage of stylish individuals who inspire us (digitally anyway) on a daily basis. Not only that but with teams based everywhere from L.A. to London, Who What Wear is able to harness that unique eclecticism that comes from a global fashion perspective.  While I can’t see my fellow editors IRL right now (sob), I’ll just have to appreciate their fabulous sense of s...

All the Looks You Need to See From the 2021 BAFTAs Red Carpet

There is no denying that awards season has looked very different over the last year. Celebrities à la Tracee Ellis Ross have posed alongside makeshift red carpets in their gardens, while Grammy winners such a Beyoncé and Taylor Swift have attended events wearing face masks to match their elaborate outfits. We’re all adjusting to this new normal, but celebrities are proving that while they may be taking part in virtual ceremonies and adhering to social distancing protocols, that doesn’t mean red carpet fashion has to be any less show-stopping.  And today, the 2021 BAFTA awards further solidified this notion. Graced by a star-studded slew of celebrities who attended either virtually and in person at Royal Albert Hall, the BAFTAs provid...

Snoop Dogg to Host TOKiMONSTA, A$AP Rocky, More for Virtual 4/20 Celebration

There’s no better excuse for a cozy couch kickback than the fast approaching 4/20, a day unofficially dedicated to all things cannabis. Luckily, TOKiMONSTA, A$AP Rocky, Jhene Aiko and more have got you covered with the Even Higher Together Virtual 420 Celebration, hosted by Snoop Dogg.  Featuring an array of curated content certain to fight through the fog, the event is made possible by Weedmaps, a platform that connects cannabis consumers with retailers for an Uber Eats-like experience.  Last Prisoner Project, a non-profit dedicated to cannabis criminal justice reform, has also invited activists who were previously incarcerated for marijuana-related crimes for a Justice Session panel, moderated by iconic rapper and activist Talib Kweli. Meanwhile, Wiz Khalifa will hos...

Porter Robinson and Dillon Francis Compete in Grubhub’s League of Legends Pro-Am

Porter Robinson and Dillon Francis have traded their fair share of jokes and pranks with one another, but on Friday, they settled the score at Grubhub’s Feeding Frenzy League of Legends Pro-Am. While it’s not quite the collaboration fans of their music had on their wishlists, those who enjoy video games will appreciate seeing them compete on the virtual battlefield. Due to the team-based nature of League of Legends, both artists were placed on a team alongside professionals. The gameplay featured commentary provided by a cast of prominent gaming personalities, including Goldenboy, Ovilee May, and Captain Flowers. For those interested in checking out the stream, it’s worth noting that the broadcast is very much geared towards fans of League of Legends and eSports rath...

I Think These New H&M Items Will Go With So Many of Your Favourite Outfits

H&M is often a go-to shop for the brand’s wide array of items to suit a variety of styles. While we highlighted some of the latest trendier items recently, we wanted to focus next on those especially versatile items. Here, we’re talking about pieces that are trend-forward and modern, but have that wardrobe staple quality in that they could pair well with a smattering of your favorite outfit formulas and go-to pieces. There’s A+ items like forward denim cuts that could be dressed up or down and easy-to-style knits. There’s also finds like slouchy blazers (similar to the one pictured above) that could be worn as a top with a belt and coordinating trousers and that could also be teamed with a tank and jeans. To showcase all of the items more, we cura...

From Colours to Cuts, These Are the 8 Hair Trends That Matter Most This Spring

Working with a brilliant team of fashion editors who have their fingers on the pulse means that, luckily for me, I’ve had the low-down on the spring/summer fashion trends for 2021 for quite a while now. The world of beauty, however, can be a little trickier to predict. We’ve already delved into the brilliant beauty products that shaped 2020, but the growing popularity of platforms like TikTok means that trending beauty often changes overnight. Combine that with the uncertainty around the opening and closing of beauty salons, and it’s becoming increasingly tricky to forecast which beauty treatments and trends look set to take off in 2021. However, after enjoying just one haircut during the whole of 2020,...

2022 Hyundai Kona N Forgoes Stick Shift for Trick Dual-Clutch Gearbox

We’ll let you decide for yourselves if Biermann has anything to do with Hyundai’s recently announced decision to include a wet-style DCT in the upcoming Kona N. We’re not ashamed of the fact we thoroughly enjoy the standard Kona, which benefits from a raft of updates for 2021, including the addition of an N Line model. That trim will soon be joined by the high-performance Kona N, which is due to feature model-specific styling, inside and out. A more aggressive face, twin exhausts, a reworked rear bumper, a new decklid spoiler, and bigger wheels have already been teased. The wet-style DCT in the Kona N uses two electric oil pumps to reduce friction between cogs. The setup also helps cool the transmission. The result is that more power can be transferred from the engin...
