We all know the start of spring brings with it the want and need to give your wardrobe an update, but we find the same appeal applies to our homes, too. After months of dark nights and candlelight, the brighter, longer days make us see our spaces in a completely different way. Right now, as three members of the Who What Wear team find themselves in an exciting position to decorate their new homes, our Slack group has been flooded with links to and imagery of the affordable interior buys we’ve found. Thinking this might also be of interest to anyone who is looking to spruce up their existing homewares ahead of the summer months, we decided to share them with you. What makes something “affordable”? We think it’s relative. While you can p...
Undone, effortless hair has been a thing for as long as we can remember. Whether it be straight, silky lengths, effortlessly tousled waves or curls and coils with natural-looking bounce and definition, over the past few years, hair trends have been heavily focused on finding ways to make it look like we haven’t spent three hours styling it. The reality, however, is that it takes a whole bunch of heated tools, styling creams and setting sprays to achieve “I woke up like this” hair. But finally, after all of the years we have spent struggling to make our hair look effortless, uncomplicated and heatless hair is finally a thing. Seriously, we’re seeing it everywhere. From fashion girls to celebs, it seems that the events of the past year ha...
Genesis GV70 Full Overview We just had our first chance to climb in and poke around the all-new 2022 Genesis GV70 compact luxury SUV, and goodness—it has quite the interior. It appears moving down a segment in size and price from the South Korean luxury brand’s first ever SUV, the mid-size GV80, didn’t have much if any effect on the quality and presentation of the GV70‘s cabin. We’ll put extra emphasis on presentation here, as, unlike some contenders’ in this segment, the GV70’s interior is an aesthetic triumph. Depending on how you spec it, the cabin is awash in Nappa leather, wood, metal, carbon fiber, and/or microsuede, with the leather and microsuede available in a range of interesting shades, some of which you might be surprised to find paired—like ...
Following the V-8-powered IS500 F Sport premiere last month, Lexus unveiled the 2022 IS500 F Sport Performance’s exclusive Launch Edition at Sebring International Raceway. Limited to 500 examples, the Launch Edition will carry over the same 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V-8 rated at 472 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque but distinguishes itself from the regular-production IS500 F Sport by way of subtle cosmetic touches. Incognito Mode First up is its new “Incognito” white-ish paint hue that was recently added to the Lexus color palette. Other updates consist of 19-inch forged BBS wheels finished in matte black that shave approximately four pounds of unsprung weight from each corner on top of the weight savings brought by the regular IS500’s wheels relat...
Just over 150 cars are stolen per day in the United States. Vehicle theft may be (relatively) uncommon, but it’s very inconvenient and invasive—and altogether more familiar to Dodge Charger sedan and Challenger coupe owners than most. Why? These powerful American muscle cars are popular among thieves, and are often stolen for parts and plain old joyrides. Dodge has responded with a new security feature that limits the vehicles’ speed to just 3 mph by restricting engine performance to idle provided owners can set the car into “Security Mode.” Activating and (more importantly) deactivating this mode requires the use of a four-digit security code. Should someone hop behind the wheel and get the car started without this code, the would-be thief would be kept f...
Shout “enhance!” a few times at your computer like you’re in some kind of CSI-type show, or just peer more closely, and you might notice something odd in this 2021 Lexus IS‘ glove box. An arm, a needle, a vinyl record … yup, that’s a turntable. In the glovebox. In 2021. And if you aren’t a turntablist, or a vinyl enthusiast, you might not recall that records skip. See all 7 photos Before even the eight-track player, a few companies experimented with in-car record players, and it was a goofy extravagance that never really worked all that well. Because, well, records skip, even with specialized spring-isolated enclosures—especially when installed by indifferent dealers back in the day. See all 7 photos But these early systems were state-of-...
Using skincare as a mode of self-care is one of the biggest skincare trends of 2021 so far, with decadent textures, spa-like aromas and luxurious packaging emerging high on all of our wish lists when it comes to investing in new beauty products. In fact, entire brands have launched this year with the sole aim of encouraging us to embrace skincare as a ritual rather than something to be rushed through. Case in point: Alicia Keys’s new beauty brand, Keys Soulcare. However, there’s no getting away from the fact that there are certain products and ingredients that our skin actually needs to stay healthy regardless of how pampering they may or may not feel. There’s one, in particular, that comes up time and again when I speak to skin experts: SPF....
DENIM If I had to pick one trending dress fabric for S/S 21, it would have to be denim. No longer contained to the traditional jeans format, this hard-wearing fabric has manifested in everything from shirts and shorts to jackets and, of course, dresses. Packing a certain retro-inspired, ’70s vibe, it was a trend that quietly wove itself through the runway collections of designers such as Celine and Alexander McQueen. “My love for denim dresses started back in 2009 thanks to Stella McCartney’s S/S 10 collection. The British designer had created a button-down summer dress in a light-wash jean fabric and a skirt in the same finish and waist-nipping fit,” explains Who What Wear’s editor in chief, Hannah Almassi. “Des...

If you haven’t heard of manifestation, let me enlighten you. Manifestation is a self-help movement centred around the activity of focusing one’s thoughts upon the desired outcome. Essentially, it means that you can think something into actually happening. Perhaps this is why I placed an order for a new bikini in the middle of February. Of course, I have no plans of jetting off to tropical climates this year. Still, perhaps my purchase was an act of subconscious manifestation—that we’ll have a warm enough summer to sit in the park, on the beach, on our balconies and in our gardens quite comfortably in a bikini. Assuming some of you are shopping with the same logic, I decided to find out which bikini trends the experts are backing for a summer spent on home...
Long-time Daft Punk collaborator Cédric Hervet and his cousin, Nicolas Hervet, were enlisted to overhaul the interior of Hong Kong’s Cassio nightclub. For 15 years, Cédric acted as Daft Punk’s creative director. His contributions are immeasurable and include album design as well as stage production for their 2014 Grammys performance. Cédric claims that the elegance and festive atmosphere led to their remodel being inspired by The Great Gatsby. “When we first discovered Cassio and the elegance of the place combined with the festive atmosphere, we immediately pictured The Great Gatsby,” he told Tatler. “We thought it could be interesting to create a bridge between the 1920s and today.” The cousin duo did a magnificent job communicating their vision, exp...
But thanks to a massive leak—more like a water main break—on enthusiast forum 400ZClub, we now have a ton of new unofficially released information to pour over. According to poster Houston.z35, the next Nissan Z car won’t be called the 400Z. The name is just “Nissan Z.” This, despite the fact that there will be a 400-hp version of the 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 VR30DDTT engine under the hood, and most of us anticipated a numerical upgrade from the current 370Z nomenclature to something 400-ish. As we suspected earlier, the next Z’s underpinnings will be largely carryover from the current 370Z. That means the chassis, hard points, and cutlines will all be the same, but the bodywork is obviously quite different and eye-catching. There will be two transmissions availab...
