Back in January H&M announced its latest designer collaboration, and it was everything we could have wished for: Simone Rocha. Cannot compute! When January felt like it couldn’t be more bleak, along came a piece of shopping news that soothed the soul, saved our wardrobes and gave every fashion-lover something to look forward to. Well, the brand has just dropped all the lookbook imagery from the upcoming collab, and it’s as good as we’d hoped. As is tradition with all of H&M‘s legendary designer collaborations, this collection was shrouded in secrecy, but the sneak peak we are receiving today, ahead of the line (which drops on March 11—diarise now!) is enough to keep us going. It looks like all of the beloved Irish designer’s si...
There’s something really fascinating going on with jewellery at the moment. For starters, two of the biggest luxury online retailers Net-a-Porter and Matchesfashion have revealed that jewellery has become a very popular section, thanks to people investing in lasting pieces but also in a bid, I suspect, to give their WFH outfits a bit of life, when they’re unable to give them oomph via fancy shoes and their favourite handbag. At Who What Wear we also have a direct line to what our readers want to see the most, and over the past month especially, it seems that jewellery trends in particular are something that you want. Secondly, after speaking to the founders of UK-based demi fine jewellery brand Otiumberg, I also discovered that personalised jewellery is becoming ...

If optimistic dressing wasn’t a thing before 2020, it certainly is now. Picking joyful, timeless pieces for our spring wardrobes will go some way towards making us feel good in what we wear, and that’s often half the battle when taking on the day. But it will also energise us for the year to come, an idea that designers clearly clung to when they were working on their recent SS21 collections. As a result, feel-good prints and bold colours were seen all over the catwalks, whether that meant hot pink feathers at Halpern, or starfish-print dresses at Versace. Luckily this positive approach has also been adopted by some of our favourite affordable brands, making it even easier to incorporate into our everyday wardrobes. Next’s new Label/Mix collection is a case in point. Since ...

If you’re as big of a Zara fan as I am, you know that in order to score the best products from the retailer, you better be stalking the new arrivals section like there’s no tomorrow. Zara products have a tendency to sell out at the speed of light, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth fighting for. Since I know you probably have better things to do besides awaiting the new arrivals to drop on the Zara website, I decided to do you a favour and stalk the site for the best new pieces myself. Ahead, you will see the 30 new Zara items I am deeming the cream of the crop. Naturally, I am predicting the shopping selection ahead won’t be in stock for long, so if you’ve been itching to do a little retail therapy, now’s your chance. Get ready to ...

Lexus says “a new era of F Sport performance vehicles is coming.” We’d elaborate, but that’s all the automaker has said while at the same time releasing the image above of an F Sport badge on what looks like some sort of carbon-fiber panel. In short—as short as Lexus’s statement—this could be anything. Rather than speculate, let’s recap what F Sport is. To the Lexus brand, it is a sport-themed trim level that on most models adds more aggressive styling bits and a host of “F Sport” badging. You can find F Sport variants of the Lexus UX, NX, and RX crossovers and SUVs, as well as the IS, ES, and LS sedans, not to mention the RC coupe. Notably missing from this lot is the brand’s LC and LX flagship coupe and SUV. M...
An adorable retro-inspired electric vehicle got a lot of attention a few weeks ago. The Alpha Motor Ace, an electric coupe with an aesthetic that can only be described as mid-century modern European, seemed to capture the full potential of EVs to break out of contemporary car styling and explore unusual and interesting forms. With fewer constraints from packaging hardpoints, EVs—and in particular, skateboard-chassis ones—are ripe for this sort of thing. The Ace’s cartoonish (in a good way) proportions communicate fun in a way no Nissan Leaf can. Carrying that to its next logical extreme, there’s the Jax, an off-road inspired variant (that still only exists in digital form), and a sleeker Ace Performance Edition. See all 34 photosfalse It must be said that we were hoping the nex...
In a perhaps a not so surprising new scientific finding, techno has been found to be the least relaxing form of music. Vera Clinic, a Turkish cosmetics company specializing in hair transplant procedures, conducted a scientific study that revealed techno is the least effective genre for curbing anxiety. The sample of 1,540 individuals was subjected to various genres of music via a series of pre-selected Spotify playlists. As the adults listened, ECG monitors tracked their changes in blood pressure, allowing experimenters to glean insights on their respective anxiety levels. A vast majority of participants, 78% in fact, experienced a spike in blood pressure when listening to techno. A handful of genres yielding similar effects include dubstep, 70s rock, jazz, and the blues. On the flip ...
I apologise if the phrase ‘kitten heel’ is at all triggering for you. For me it conjures up strong memories of a certain year in secondary school when pointed, kitten heeled shoes were the ‘thing’ to be seen in—I was not allowed them as they were against the school dress code (bring in the tiny violins). But then again, I was less sad when I saw the tatty state these heels were in after few weeks of being stomped across concrete-clad school grounds. Luckily, you’ll be glad to hear that the kitten heels of 2021 could not be further than the flimsy styles worn by noughties school girls. You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reimagined what a dating should be. It begins with g...
I’ve never really been a watch person, let alone a smartwatch person. Ever since I got my first mobile from the age of about 17 (shout out to my fellow old Millennials), I’d always use my phone to check the time. And as they slowly became everything in our lives (camera, news, social life), it seemed weird that I’d want something separate from it. Everything was in one place, it was so convenient. But then a few things happened. Firstly, I started running again, and wanted to track my progress without whipping out my phone all the time. Second, staring at your phone all day to check the time isn’t actually that handy when you’re with a toddler. And finally, there was the pandemic. Honor kindly lent me its smartwatch to trial back in February 2020, ju...
