So, Kia Has an All-New Logo and It’s Shapes

Gone is the old logo, pictured above, with its clean, legible, red-on-white theme. In comes a new, black-and-white colorway and a futuristic vibe seemingly inspired by a similar design tested on the 2019 Kia Imagine concept. There’s just one teeny-tiny problem with the new one: It’s forward-thinking, but also visually complex and difficult to make out if you don’t already know it’s Kia’s new logo. We get that logos can be whatever a brand wants them to be—just look at the Chevy’s bowtie, which, on its face, has nothing to do with cars. However, if they’re supposed to spell out a word, they should at the very least be legible. The new Kia logo could easily be mistaken for “K | A” or a “K” and a backwards “N,” and ...

A Definitive List of the Shoes Taking Over in 2021

Shoes. Remember those? All right, so we may be being a touch dramatic, but there’s no denying that, over the past year, shoes (and bags for that matter), have taken a back seat and, instead, we’ve developed some new shopping habits. In lieu of treating ourselves to a new pair of heels to wear with your elegant wedding guest dress, we snapped up loungewear, knits, and candles in numbers never before seen.  Still, that was last 2020 and right now we’re focussed on being optimistic; optimistic that our daily outfits in 2021 will call for something other than a slipper (don’t worry though, they’re not completely obsolete).  So, which shoe trends are we kicking 2021 off with? We’re sure you’ll be pleased to hear that c...

Quadra-What? Breaking Down the 2021 Grand Cherokee L’s 4WD Systems

Jeep offers a variety of four-wheel-drive systems for buyers of the new 2021 Grand Cherokee L to choose from. Called Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II, each setup offers different levels of four-wheel-drive capability. Let’s take a quick look at how each system works and the differences between them. See all 68 photos Jeep Quadra-Trac I Quadra-Trac I is a single-speed full-time four-wheel-drive system that requires no driver intervention. Four-wheel-drive is always engaged, with 48 percent of the engine’s torque delivered to the front axle and 52 percent going to the rear. Quadra-Trac I uses open differentials and relies on the traction control system to distribute power by way of the SUV’s brakes. If a wheel loses traction, the system senses th...

2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L First Look: The Longer, Three-Row Version Is Finally Here

Jeep Grand Cherokee Full Overview The fifth generation of the popular Jeep Grand Cherokee has been expanded—literally—by adding a stretched seven-passenger version that debuts as the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. With consumers champing at the bit for more SUVs (and more Jeeps), Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is building on that momentum with a new addition to the lineup: a midsize-plus Jeep Grand Cherokee with three rows of seating for the first time. This is the mystery three-row SUV that FCA has been promising in its five-year plan, and which will be built at the new $1.6 billion Detroit Assembly Complex’s Mack Avenue Plant. Production begins this quarter, and the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L will arrive in dealerships in the second quarter. Why begin the new Grand Cherokee’s rollout...

I Only Wear Gold Jewellery—These Are My Favourite Brands Right Now

It might seem counter-intuitive that people have invested in jewellery during the pandemic. But that’s exactly what has happened. Along with beauty products, sweatpants, and slippers, sales of jewellery have increased. Okay, I’ve never worked in fashion during a pandemic, but I can see exactly why we’ve been more ready to buy jewellery than before—they’re small luxuries that make us feel good about ourselves on a daily basis. And when you can’t get excited about wearing your favourite dress, your neck, ears, hands, and wrists become the places to show off something you love. Liane Wiggins, head of womenswear buying at MatchesFashion, revealed during the S/S 2021 trend report that the retailer has seen an increase in jewellery, “as more peo...

These High-Street Wedding Dresses Look as Good as Designer Ones

I know from my own experience that planning a wedding can take months. You spend endless hours deciding what your guests are going to eat, what booze they’re going to drink and even which napkins they’ll wipe their mouths on. While this is all important stuff, it doesn’t really compare to deciding on which outfit you’re going to wear. Of course, 2020 had different plans for those who had their weddings coming up during the year, and plenty of nuptials have had to be cancelled as a result of the pandemic. If there’s one silver lining we hope we can provide for you, it’s that if you’re planning on getting married at some point then you have more time to decide what you’re going to wear. And if budgets are smaller than you ha...

Manchester United star Donny van de Beek urged to consider January transfer exit

Ajax and Netherlands legend Ronald de Boer has advised Donny Van De Beek to leave Manchester United in this January transfer window. Van De Beek has struggled for game time since his £39million move from Ajax. The 23-year-old has started just two Premier League games this season and has been completely left out the squad for United’s last three fixtures. And De Boer thinks the Holland international should consider leaving with the Euros coming up this summer. He told AD: “The European Championship is coming, he will undoubtedly want to be there. “Maybe it would be good for him to discuss with the club exactly what they want with him. “If the view on playing time does not improve, he may have to declare that he should be loaned or even sold. “You have to be lucky every now and then. Of cour...
