In times past, putting together a ‘sustainable gift guide’ was a bit of a slog. It was honestly pretty difficult to find items that were as chic as they were ethical. And don’t even try to factor in affordability in that too—anything that was worth having always meant parting with a lot of cash. Good news, then, as all the below 32 items I’ve found are ideal for the fashion-lover and they just so happen to be sustainable as well. Happily, most of the big online retailers have sustainable sections, making it much easier to find the best stuff around. But, if you’re looking for smaller UK-based brands, I’ve got those in there too. You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reimagined what a dating should be. Until now, Hyundai Motor Group has focused on fitting electric powertrains into vehicles that were originally built to accommodate internal combustion engines. From the Hyundai Kona Electric to the Kia Niro EV, the automaker has started to achieve some success in this area, in spite of the compromises inherent to the approach. Now, it’s turning the page by introducing its first dedicated platform for battery electric vehicles. The platform will underpin a wide range of new electric models, with the first ones launching next year. Dubbed E-GMP, the platform will underpin the Ioniq 5, a midsize crossover coming in early 2021. It will also be the basis for Kia’s first dedicated electric vehicle that will debut sometime next year. The platform will then expand across most vehicle s...
If there’s a vehicle that had us conflicted, it was the previous Jaguar F-Pace SVR. Its brutally entertaining supercharged V-8 thrilled, but the interior was…unimpressive. And that’s a real issue in its segment of big-sticker SUVs with jaw-slacking performance, as such models are now in abundance. The F-Pace SVR had the moves but not the refinement. The 2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR is here, and the stuff that ain’t broken isn’t fixed, but there’s welcome news inside the luxury SUV. We covered the gist of the massive interior makeover in our First Look at of the non-SVR 2021 F-Pace models—a much more intensive facelift than you’d expect from a typical mid-cycle refresh. Frankly, the Jaguar needed it. It was hard to overlook the cabin’s subpar quality and ...

Here at Who What Wear, we fancy ourselves as somewhat experts when it comes to spotting microtrends. The kind of looks that are distinguished by something as small as the texture of a fabric or the placement of a button. In the past, we’ve waxed lyrical on microtrends ranging from countryside prints to statement embroidered cardigans, though this winter there seems to be a new, subtler trend on the block. From designer to high-street, sweetheart neckline knits are gaining quite the fashionable fanbase right now with influencers across the globe embracing the flattering silhouette. It’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it kind of detail but manages to instantly elevate a winter knit, bringing a modern, contemporary element to the item. You Deserve to Make Money Even...
We called the 2021 Volkswagen ID4 “perhaps the most important car VW has ever launched in the United States” after our first drive. The key to cementing its place in the company’s American history, though, likely comes down to its driving range. Thankfully for Volkswagen, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) officially rates the electric SUV to travel 250 miles on a full charge. That sum matches VW’s predictions and ought to quell the range anxiety of most consumers. That said, the ID4’s EPA-rated range figure is less than that of the pricier Tesla Model Y. However, the VW offers slightly more range than the base Ford Mustang Mach-E, which nets an EPA-rated 230 miles of range. The Ford is also slightly more expensive than the entry-level ID4. The ID4...
If you’re an environmentally conscious one-percenter, driving an electric car simply isn’t enough. You need to embrace green living in every aspect of your affluent lifestyle, and that includes your ultra-posh boat. Enter Silent-Yachts, an Austrian manufacturer of premium solar-powered luxury watercraft that has just partnered with Volkswagen Group to incorporate the auto giant’s MEB modular electric drive platform into its next super-yacht. Even though Silent-Yachts will develop the solar electric catamaran based around the MEB electric drive bits, the yacht itself will be designed by Cupra, the performance marque that spun off of Spanish VW Group brand Seat. See all 11 photos The MEB electric platform was designed for electric cars such as the upcoming Volkswagen ID4 SU...
Somebody stop me! When it comes to hunting down trends it’s the little quiet ones bubbling up underneath the surface that really pique my interest, and once I start looking, I find it hard to move onto the next task. The big trends are plain to see right now (puffer coats, all-beige and knitted vests are strong) and they’ll undoubtedly rumble on well into 2021. Maybe they’ll even go further, because that’s how slowly these things develop nowadays—gone are the days when season upon season required an all-change klaxon and for closets to be pillaged and restocked less you risk looking outdated. It’s undeniably good and important that our wardrobes are not a revolving door of newness and more a beautifully-tended garde...
In my experience, it’s vanishingly rare to come across a truly stylish TV show. A few exceptions come to mind, such as Killing Eve, Gossip Girl and, of course Sex in the City (in its own bonkers, ’90s way), but in many of these examples the aesthetics are focused on individual characters: the Villanelles or the Carries. However, the moment I set eyes upon the swinging ‘60s minis and chic mid-century interiors of The Queen’s Gambit I was truly besotted. Every frame was an artwork in its own right and the interiors and outfits heaven for throwback style enthusiasts such as myself. With her bob-and-fringe haircut and high-waisted trousers, the protagonist Beth Harmon, played by Anya Taylor-Joy, could have easily stepped right off the streets of east London. ...
Much more than your average December, there’s a definite sense of trepidation in the air as we enter into winter 2020. While it might be tricky to find big things to look forward to, we will always have small pleasures: the comforting warmth of a woolen roll neck or the toasty appeal of fleece-lined slippers. It might be dark and it might be cold, but let us not underestimate the mood-boosting powers of cosy, cold-weather style. Whether you’re looking for a cocooning puffer coat or a pair or sturdy boots, thankfully the high street has delivered on all fronts this season. From Arket’s sellout puffers and Mango’s western-inspired tassels, to COS’s winning coats and Gap’s classic cashmere, scroll down to see and shop the...
When I turned 13 (and finally started to go through puberty), all I wanted was to start wearing a bra. By the time I was 14, all I wanted was to stop wearing a bra. I had quickly learned what most of us already know—that bras are typically uncomfortable, rigid, and cut into your under-boob area. The most relieving part of my day was when I finally got home and could peel off my bra. So I soon decided to stop wearing bras altogether. That brought challenges, however, as I wasn’t yet entirely comfortable with the idea of going braless. So I decided to dip my toes in the water by rotating through several bra alternatives—all of which were certainly more comfortable than my go-to underwire bra. If you, too, want to forgo bras, keep scrolling to find some excellent tops and bra-style...
Last year Ferrari unveiled the 488 GT3 Evo, a refined and massaged version of the 488 GT3 racecar that made its debut in 2016. Per FIA rules and regulations, manufacturers are allowed to make an all-new racecar (or an Evo version of their current car) once every three years. So, if it’s not an all-new racecar, what is the 488 GT Modificata you see before you? Simple answer: it’s the newest track-day-only Ferrari. But you probably can’t buy it. The Modificata is meant specifically for Ferrari Club Competizioni GT, a special race series hosted by Ferrari and populated by owners of Ferrari GT racing cars. That means that if you’re rich enough to own a Ferrari racecar or run a racing team that competes with a Ferrari, you can take part in this racing series, too. T...
