These Hummer EV Design Proposals Look Even Wilder Than the Real Thing
If you think the 2022 GMC Hummer EV looks pretty wild as it is, know that the design could have been even more dramatic. General Motors took to social media this week to show off some early sketches that influenced the electric pickup truck‘s final design. Just look at those massive tires. This imaginary set of rubber makes the truck look even more formidable, especially with all the extra ground clearance. This is not to say the production model doesn’t impress in this area—it comes standard with 35-inch tires and can accommodate rubber as tall as 37 inches. 2021 Mini Cooper 1499 GT Puts a Modern, Rare Spin on an Old Mini
Not one to shy away from special editions, Mini is introducing another unique vehicle to its lineup. The 2021 Mini Cooper 1499 GT is a very limited-edition car with a black and gold exterior, a dressed-up interior, and—surprisingly—a pretty decent price tag. The 1499 GT model pays homage to the Mini 1275 GT from 1969. While the original had a gold paint job and black side graphics, the 1499 GT reverses the color scheme. Its black paint job is complemented by a black grille, black door handles, black headlight rings, and black rings surrounding the Union Jack-motif taillights. The Bronco Nation dredged up some interesting info on Ford Bronco hardtop availability—and if you’re a reservation holder for a First Edition or Wildtrak model, you’ll want to pay careful attention. These models were promised with black-painted hardtops, but those have been delayed. For now, all Broncos will come with molded-in-color (MIC) hardtops in a “carbonized grey” color—essentially the usual color of unpainted, dark plastic exterior trim.
