Many automakers have tried—and some have already abandoned—car subscription services. But Porsche has always operated in more rarified air. Convinced of the strong demand for its performance vehicles, if even for only a day or a few weeks, the German sports-car maker is introducing a new monthly single-vehicle subscription program in four American cities starting September 25, while also expanding its other subscription programs. To recap, Porsche introduced a pilot subscription program in Atlanta in 2017 where members pay a monthly fee and can swap between models from the mainstream Porsche lineup. So far 325 members have taken advantage of Porsche subscription services, most of them staying in the program for four months and swapping their vehicle choice every two weeks, said Klaus Zellm...

So, what are our editors interested in trying come autumn? For Shopping Editor, Joy Montgomery it will be knitted sweater vests, a style that was seen on the runways of Prada, Dior and Gucci,...

In one of the most impressive duos we have seen in a while, Meghan Markle has teamed up with Gloria Steinem to discuss female empowerment and the importance of voting for Makers Women, a media brand dedicated to accelerating the women’s movement. Throughout the teaser clip, Markle and Steinem can be seen chatting and laughing in a picturesque backyard setting, discussing the importance of young people and women turning out to vote. For the occasion, Markle chose to wear an all white outfit consisting of pinstripe trousers by Anine Bing, strappy black sandals by Stella McCartney, a white t-shirt and straw hat by Janessa Leone. Rich Rebuilds is the sort of YouTube car dude that we all know and watch, buying suspiciously cheap and definitely not pristine vehicles and then documenting the inevitable rollercoaster ride of, well, rebuilding them. Hence his handle. He’s turned around a hurricane-inundated Model S, a wrecked Model 3, some sketchy Audis . . . you get the idea. There’s a strong Tesla fascination, and the guy co-founded an independent Tesla mechanic outfit, but there are some exceptions to the rule on his channel. Electric rat rod? Sure. How about a Tesla Cyberquad ATV tribute build? Sounds interesting. See all 42 photos And it is. You see, the Cyberquad only exists in the most minimalistic way. It exists—we saw it in the back of the Cybertruck when it rolled onto the stage in that famous debu...
The second-generation Chevy Camaro cemented the pony car as a very American expression of automotive muscle. You’re probably hearing a wailing hair metal riff in your head as you’re thinking about it, actually. But what if the Camaro went a different direction, with European styling that’s more Turin than Detroit? It actually happened, and it’s our understanding that Chevrolet commissioned the design. You’re looking at the 1976 Chevrolet Camaro Europo Hurst, designed by Pietro Frua—a glimpse into an alternate reality where this arch-nemesis of the Ford Mustang paired Italian styling with American brawn. See all 38 photos Is it the prettiest of Frua’s designs? Probably not. Frua penned a number of distinctive Maseratis, and some interesting Glas and Monte...

Any regular Zara shopper will know the high-street retailer launches new clothing all the time (in fact, it is a little known secret that the brand releases new clothing as often as twice a week). I’ll be the first to admit it that I spend a lot of time on Instagram, especially during the pandemic. While I may have lost the plot to films and TV shows I’m meant to be watching, thanks to the endless scrolling available, I had got something to show for it: great outfit ideas. And in my line of work, that matters. As you might imagine, I see an endless array of outfit combinations, and while there are plenty that aren’t quite right, there are many that stop me in my tracks. Case in point: I’ve followed Amy Julliette Lefévre, who goes by the IG handle @lefevrediary) for a while, and a few weeks ago I came across the most perfect outfit—an oversized blazer, white T-shirt, jeans and slouchy socks with classic white trainers. The look was pure 2020; m...

Though it continues to dominate truck sales, the Ford F-150 has fallen behind in the trick tailgate game. Its full-size competitors from GMC and Ram both offer fancy multi-way tailgates, with the former blazing a trail with its MultiPro tailgate and the latter recently introducing the barn door-style Multifunction tailgate. Not to be outdone, Ford is reportedly working on a complex tailgate gimmick of its own. According to Ford Authority, Ford is considering several prototype tailgate designs for development. Sources close to the project say a barn door setup like Ram’s is a top contender. The Ram 1500’s available Multifunction tailgate opens two ways: It can drop down like a traditional tailgate or swing open thanks to side-hinged 60/40 split barn doors. Those barn doors make ...
