Felipe Pantone has touched down in Shanghai for a new solo exhibition at Gallery ALL. Entitled Diagonal Reading, Stroboscopic Attention, and Profound Oneness, the show presents a comprehensive look at the Spanish-Argentine artist's career, including his SUBTRACTIVE VARIABILITY and CHROMADYNAMICA series, as well as newer sculptural explorations. Pantone's latest show explores the way in which contemporary images are consumed, an attempt to mirror the frantic nature of social media feeds, by challenging viewers to engage with the artwork in a unique and dynamic manner. Standout works include AEROSOLID IMPULSE 9S, a resin and lacquer sculpture that aesthetically looks like those old 3D pipe loading screens from the Windows XP days, but freeze-framed into anthropomorphic blob that veers betwee...
Maserati has introduced its first limited edition example of the MC20, a sleek edition of 50 that it's calling the "Notte."Inspiration for this special edition is drawn from the brand's audacious legacy, with the vehicle designed to channel the adrenaline of legendary races past, present and future. The MC20 "Notte" -- Italian for "night" -- is an embodiment of nocturnal mystique and the intense allure of darkness. Its design was created in collaboration with Maserati reference driver and former GT1 world champion Andrea Bertolini and features a matte "nero essenza" finish that is made to shine even in the lowest of lights. Bertolini's "Midas touch" is exemplified in the matte white gold detailing on the Trident logo, side insignias and the Maserati script, a nostalgic nod to the brand's mo...

51 years ago today, Led Zeppelin IV was ushered into the world, forever changing rock music. The record featured some of the band's seminal hits, including "Black Dog" and "Stairway to Heaven," along with a now iconic cover, which depicted an old man hunched over carrying a bale of twigs on his back. According to the New York Times, Brian Edwards, a research fellow at the University of the West of England, was routinely browsing the internet for auction finds in March, when suddenly, he spotted a remarkably similar image of the old man in a Victorian photo album. "There was something familiar about it straight away,” he told the Times. After contacting the Wiltshire Museum, who previously bought the photo album, Edwards determined that Ernest Howard Farmer was the photographer behind the w...

RM Sotheby’s is set to host one of its most significant Mercedes-Benz auctions this year, featuring a 1999 CLK GTR Coupe and a 2002 CLK GTR Roadster -- with a combined estimate as high as $22,000,000 USD.These rare vehicles represent towering achievements in automotive design and engineering, symbols of a time when Mercedes-Benz reigned supreme in the GT1 racing class.Notably, the 1999 CLK GTR Coupe, limited to only 20 examples, represents the pinnacle of Mercedes-Benz’s innovation -- born out of a whirlwind 128-day development period, it won back-to-back FIA GT1 Championships in 1997 and 1998 and also played a part in the demise of the motorsport series it was designed for due to its overwhelming dominance. For many enthusiasts, the vehicle represents a significant part of automotive histo...
