Cadillac has revealed its latest all-electric offering, the 2025 Escalade IQ, full of luxurious options and updated tech features. The vehicle launches with a starting price of $130,000 USD or $170,000 if built to the specifications of the example in the gallery above, according to the automaker's site. It's been roughly a few weeks now since Choctaw-Cherokee artist Jeffrey Gibson was announced to represent the United States at the 2024 Venice Biennale — the first Indigenous artist to be chosen for the honor. Gibson first started cosigning artworks to Gupta back in 2017 with a 50-50 profit split for each sale. While the terms were initially met, the artist expressed in his filing that the gallery began falling behind on payments and currently owes him $638,919 USD. “Because the gallery has stalled and failed to even negotiate in earnest a mutually acceptable payment plan, Gibson is now forced to commence this ac...
Pace Gallery is showcasing its first ever exhibition on acclaimed American artist, Hank Willis Thomas. Entitled I've Known Rivers, the solo show presents a range of the his signature retroreflective works that probe into globalization, colonial histories, and appropriation. Working across mediums, from painting to sculpture, installation to neon signage and screen-prints, Thomas sees himself as a "visual culture archaeologist" and mines the canons of history to re-present iconography, as well as accepted figures and norms, in a new light."I've alw...
