An In-Depth Look at Meta Prosper’s “Love in Translation” Exhibition at HBX New York

Earlier this month, HBX New York teamed up with Meta Prosper on an intimate group exhibition entitled "Love in Translation" that delved into the unique experiences of parental love within the AAPI community. The presentation explored the diverse ways Asian Americans were loved by their parents while growing up, even in the absence of explicit expressions like "I love you." The exhibition originated from the curiosity of Connie Chweh, the gallery curator and art director, about the shared experiences within the AAPI community."It warmed me to know how much this concept resonated with the artists, but the most surprising thing I learned is that some Asian American households did grow up with affection and hearing 'I love you'," says Chweh. The exhibition featured the works of seven talented A...

Raleigh Rides Back in Time With The Reintroduction of Its Classic Chopper Bike

British cycling brand Raleigh has announced the return of its classic Chopper model, with the heritage brand revitalizing the limited-edition bike in a modernized fashion as it looks back at memories from the 1970s and beyond.Although the new version of the Chopper has now been unveiled, the original model is still being bided for at auction regularly. For Yasunari Miyazaki, It Was Important to Make His AMG GT Black Series “Subtle”

For a sprawling city like Tokyo, it's both difficult and easy to stand out from others: difficult in the sense that there's 127 million people living in the greater Tokyo district, while easy if your lifestyle enables you to stand out. For Yasunari "Nari" Miyazaki, he strives to both stand out and be subtle simultaneously.Nari is the owner and designer of enigmatic underground fashion label GOD SELECTION XXX. The brand is not new: in fact, 2023 marks its 10th anniversary since it first emerged as a small indie brand in Harajuku, Tokyo. Its founder isn't very open on categorizing what GOD SELECTION XXX really is, no more than stating it's a "streetwear brand inspired by the "Ura-Harajuku" culture." And perhaps that's all one would need to understand its appeal.Nevertheless, GOD SELECTION XX...
