H&M is always the first place I head to when I’m in need of affordable basics or pieces to pep up my clothing rotation. I didn’t purchase much before the start of 2023, as I was in the midst of moving house, but now that I’m settled into my new home and no longer have to spend my disposable income on moving boxes, I thought I should treat myself. I deserve it, right? So onto H&M‘s new-arrivals page I went, and wow, I was impressed. From classy wide-leg trousers to outerwear so sleek it looks as if it costs three times as much, I was taken aback by the sheer number of elevated items there were. I truly believe they’ll sell out, too, so I thought I better show you while stock levels are high. Behold what this editor thinks are th...
Calling all gym goers, casual exercisers, and even those of us that love gym wear, but don’t love the actual gym. If bad athletic apparel or uncomfy loungewear has ever let you down, we have some very good news. The start of a new year tends to prompt us into implementing healthier lifestyle choices, but motivation can be difficult to maintain, so you deserve activewear that will support you in reaching your goals. As fashion editors with a keen sense of style and the desire to get more active in 2023, we’ve been on the lookout for reliable activewear that will tick off the three Fs: fashionable, functional clothing that feels good. And we’ve found a strong contender. Loungewear became a valuable part of our wardrobes during lockdown and reig...
After releasing his first-ever live album last year, Carl Cox is now fueling another passion: racing. The techno music legend has launched his own motorsport racing team, which will compete in this year’s Extreme E championship, an off-road racing series. He joins an Extreme E lineup that includes teams run by a number of iconic motorsport names, like McLaren and Lewis Hamilton (X44 Vida Carbon Racing). Cox, who founded his Carl Cox Motorsport brand in 2013, is a longtime racing enthusiast and competitive drag racer. However, the Extreme E championship marks his first venture into electric racing. “I’m here to make a difference. To have the opportunity to be part of something so dynamic on four wheels is a dream come true,” Cox said in a press release share...

Here’s the thing about medium-length hair—it’s incredibly versatile. It’s not too short and it’s not too long, which means you get the best of both worlds as far as styling is concerned. Do you want to straighten your hair into a sleek, centre-parted lob? Great. How about showing off your natural texture in a curly topknot? Or, do you want to replicate the wet-look hairstyle that celebrities like J.Lo and Kim Kardashian have made famous? With medium-length hair, you have all of these options and more (many more). The best part is that you don’t have to be a professional hairstylist to achieve A-list results. There are countless examples of medium-length hairstyles that are both easy and flattering (trust us, those two things&...
Some pieces have gone recognisably viral—the oversized coats being the primary example, which have completely sold out over the last couple of winters after being purchased by so many influencers. Their point of difference from other, more fleeting, It buys though, is that those influencers are proudly wearing them again this winter as well—and on repeat, no less. The cosy knits and premium denim have the same longevity (and pulling power). All in classic designs with the odd elevated detail thrown in. In fact, I feel like I can’t currently open Instagram without seeing at least one outfit that includes a Raey coat, knit or pair of jeans. While Raey’s light and airy summer basics are also incredibly chic, in my opinion it’s these cold-weather buys that...
Alongside dry skin, oily skin, and combination skin, sensitive skin is a term that gets thrown around a lot in the world of skincare, and in 2023, it’s set to become one of the most-searched for skin conditions on Google. Why? Because following an increase in people experimenting with exfoliation, active ingredients, and skincare layering, identification of sensitive skin is on the rise. If you’ve ever experienced redness, irritation, or inflammation after using a specific product or layering one too many serums, then it’s likely that your skin is experiencing sensitivity, and the truth is, we’re all vulnerable to it. That’s right, contrary to popular belief, sensitive skin isn’t actually a skin type, it’s a skin condition. This means that sensitivity is something that can occur to anyone’...
Here at Who What Wear UK, we love M&S. Marks and Spencer can always be relied upon for high-quality yet affordable fashion buys—not to mention Percy Pigs. I regularly pop in to my local, and being a beauty editor, I also really rate its beauty hall. As well as having its own range of M&S beauty products (we’re big fans of M&S’s Apothecary candles, which look and smell far more expensive than their price tag), you’ll also find so many well-loved beauty brands, from Nuxe and Eve Lom to TikTok-loved Color Wow and Ren Clean Skincare. Among them are affordable M&S-owned fragrances that happen to smell very chic indeed—one of my current favourites is just £6. You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reimagined what a dati...
With the world so interconnected as it is in the present day, it’s difficult to think of a time before the internet. Where communication was largely made through letters, faxes or telephone calls, or when artists relied heavily on in-person exhibitions and gallerists to market their work. Phaidon will release a new book that documents the rise of the World Wide Web (WWW) and how it has cultivated a new breed of artists across analog and digital experiences. Written and edited by Egyptian artist Omar Kholeif, the book takes a deep dive into the moments that have defined art within the digital age — from the birth of the WWW in 1989 by British scientist Tim Berners-Lee, to showcasing the work of legendary artists, such as Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Nam June Paik and Heather Phillipson, to the...
Few high street brands have a hold on us like H&M. Season after season, year after year, the Scandinavian giant continues to impress us with their offering of elevated, good quality, yet affordable hits that become firm favourites in our wardrobes. This winter, this statement rings particularly true thanks to its sensationally good knitwear offering. Frequently racking up 5 star customer reviews, and with a huge variety of styles, fabrications and colours, H&M’s knitwear selection is, without a doubt, one of the best on the high street. And the cherry on top of it’s cosy cake this year is its best-selling oversized polo neck, a jumper I just so happen to own and very much love. As a summer dress obsessive (and a June baby), my friends, family and colleagues have had...
Whatever your thoughts on anti-ageing as a term, there’s no denying that moisturisers, which are created to specifically tackle things like fine lines, pigmentation and dryness, can be incredibly expensive due to their potent ingredients and advanced formulations. And while I truly believe that ageing is a privilege we should fully embrace—wrinkles and all—it doesn’t mean that taking good care of our skin as we grow older should cost a small fortune. This is why I’ve made it my mission to seek out anti-ageing products that genuinely work without breaking the bank. I’ve already discovered some brilliant serums and eye creams that rival counterparts with three-figure price tags, but today we’re here to talk ...
I may have been in the beauty business for almost ten years, but there’s still nothing that excites me more than a new skincare launch. Trying and testing the latest and greatest launches is always a lesson in ingredient innovation and a great way to see how brands are interpreting the latest skincare trends and technologies. Of course, skincare is incredibly personal, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned as a beauty editor and esthetician, it’s that any and every skin type and concern can benefit from a focus on soothing, hydrating, and repairing skin. And so far, that seems to be top of the agenda in 2023. Healing and nourishing products dominate the year’s first skincare launches, so if you’ve got sensitive or breakout-prone skin, you’re in luck. La Roche-Posay have created a...
