Music Festivals Are Notorious for Inaccessibility—This Organization Is Pushing for Change In 2023

Music festivals are notorious for being inaccessible.  People with disabilities working in the music industry have overwhelmingly chose not to disclose their non-visible conditions to their employers for a number of reasons. Event accessibility organization Attitude is Everything (AIE) is working to expel this stigma by partnering with music festival associations to ensure there are more practical measures embedded into their booking and operational processes. As part of a campaign called #FestivalsWithoutBarriers, AIE has reportedly started working with the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), the Association of Festival Organizers (AFO) and the British Arts Festival Association (BAFA). These organizations’ employees and members are working on measures to establish a bet...

Lindsay Lohan Out of Repose

Why she stopped working, whether it was by choice or by circumstance, is not entirely clear. What is clear is that life largely out of the spotlight has mellowed her. “Whenever you slow down, you realize that every little thing can make you happy in a different way,” Lohan says. She moved to Dubai in 2014, where paparazzi are illegal (“I found it to be a sacred space for me. I could do my own thing, and nobody bothered me.”), and married financier Bader Shammas, whom she calls the love of her life, earlier this year. Though she launched a podcast, The Lohdown With Lindsay Lohan, in April (“It’s refreshing to be the curious one”), we became largely accustomed to our greatest export in repose. But seemingly out of the blue came the 2021 announcement that Lohan would be returning to acti...

Otani Workshop Presents His Latest Mythical Characters at Perrotin

Perrotin Seoul is playing host to a suite of new work by rising Japanese artist, Otani Workshop. As his second solo exhibition at the gallery’s Korean flagship, Hand, Eye and Soul presents the artist’s latest series of sculptures, paintings and intricate ceramics. Playful is perhaps the first word that comes to mind when observing Otani’s work. Imbued with the feeling of kawaii, or cuteness, each character emits a spiritual, almost mythic presence, that come in dialogue with the viewer. Otani’s ceramics often appear as if they’ve existed for millennia. Rough and raw, they accentuate the imperfections of the human hand and the complexity of emotion found deep within the human spirit. “It is my hope that I can exchange some emotions with viewers through my works,” said the artist in a past s...

Kate Moss Wore an Even More Daring Version of Her Iconic ’90s Naked Dress

Finding a fashion editor whose brain isn’t an encyclopedia of Kate Moss looks from the ’90s is about as rare as a Vivienne Westwood corset that costs less than £1,000 secondhand. It’s practically a bullet point in our job descriptions. So when I saw the supermodel’s graphite-coloured, vintage “naked” dress from Turner Vintage that she wore on Wednesday night to celebrate her appointment as creative director of Diet Coke (iconic), my mind went straight to another, albeit slightly tamer, silhouette she wore nearly 30 years prior. Yes, I’m talking about Moss’s completely sheer, silver slip that she wore in September of 1993 to an Elite Model Agency party in London. Often included in any evolution of the&nb...

8 Elevated Buys That Are Guaranteed to Make Your Winter Outfits Look Polished

If there’s anything I love most about fashion, it’s putting together a seasonal wardrobe edits. As soon as the weather starts to shift, I begin a closet clear-out that involves the timely process of shifting the last few months’ clothes into storage and taking stock of what can come with me into the next, and if this routine has taught me anything, it’s the value of long-wearing, investment purchases.  In all honesty, the term “wardrobe staple” gets bandied around so much that it’s almost become retailer speak for “buy this now,” but in truth, a wardrobe staple should be a timeless piece so good you’ll wear it for years to come, and finding the right one can elevate almost everything else you already own (...

Fashion People Agree This Is the Most Expensive-Looking Knit on the High Street

There are a lot of jumpers out there to choose from when shopping for your winter wardrobe this year, especially if you’re looking for knits on the high street. Some, however, are better than others, and there’s one particular knit that the whole Who What Wear team (and the fashion world in general) has been hoping would come back in stock for 2022. Arket’s cable-knit wool jumper first launched last year and sold out within just days of it landing online, probably thanks to the fact that an army of influential fashion people jumped on it so quickly and then proceeded to share it all over the internet.  We missed out last year, and since it’s such a timeless knit, it’s no surprise we’ve seen it worn repeatedly by the lucky people who managed to get their hands on one ev...

McLaren GT Taps Graphic Artist YOSHIROTTEN

Following collaborations with painter Karwai Chan in Malaysia and abstract painter Nat Bowen in Dubai earlier this February, McLaren now taps Japanese graphic artist Yoshirotten for a special take on its McLaren GT. Given the 612-horsepower coupe as a canvas, Yoshirotten imagines the supercar running through the streets of Tokyo through various scenes with linear lines running across the aerodynamic body in subtle gradients. The horizontal line is painted to resemble the lights of Tokyo and the scenery of Japan. The paintwork can be interpreted as either city lights or the skies at dusk reflecting upon the gloss-black body. The specific colors chosen can only be naturally reflected by the GT while running through the country. To present his creation, Yoshirotten imagines a futuristic garag...
