Security Prevents Just Stop Oil Activist From Throwing Soup at Painting in Paris’ Musée D’Orsay

Museums around the world have been on alert recently, due to a series of incidents involving food being thrown at works of art by protestors who look to divert attention to climate change. Just last week, an activist from Just Stop Oil glued his head to Johannes Vermeer’s iconic Girl with a Pearl Earring painting at The Hague’s Mauritshuis museum, while another vandalized a Rolex store in London. Today, security guards at Paris’ famed Musée d’Orsay intercepted a Just Stop Oil activist who was about to target Vincent Van Gogh’s Self-portrait in Saint Remy. First reported by French newspaper Le Parisien, a guard noticed a woman removing her sweatshirt to reveal a white tee that said “Just Stop Oil”, as several other members followed to film her. The woman was going to glue her head to Van Go...

I Love This Affordable High Street Skincare Brand—These Are My 15 Favourite Buys

From my teen years to my 30s I have been fortunate enough to try many of the Boots-owned brand’s bestsellers and over the years I’ve acquired plenty f favourites. The brand has been going since 1935 and has been an affordable access point for people that wanted nourishing skincare that felt luxe and actually worked, but without the expensive price tag. While there’s no denying that the brand’s makeup is good, the skincare is the real star of the show, with something for every type of skincare journey whether you’re a wash-and-moisturise kind of person or you have a minimum of seven steps in your morning regimen alone. No7 now has everything from award winning serums to a beloved retinol range and more.   The brand isn’s stopping anytime soon, eit...

Zara’s Sell-Out Party Top Is Back for 2022 and Looks Even Better

Last year, Zara stole the show with an eye-catching crop top that took the internet by storm. This cult piece was a little bit ’90s in the best possible way, and reminded me of Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss’s iconic chain-mail dresses, but with a sleek bandeau silhouette and ultra-thin straps. Of course, the top sold out in record time (that’s Zara for you) but being the seasoned fashion editor I am, I had a hunch Zara would do the honourable thing and bring it back in a new guise for 2022. And this week, my premonition came true. This year, Zara has reimagined the sell-out piece to have more glitz, more glamour, and more colour. The checkerboard motif feels undoubtedly current, though I reckon I’ll be styling it in the same way that India of The India Edit did last year. W...

It’s Back… Again: COS’s Crossbody Is the High-Street’s Most In-Demand Bag

Listen up, everyone. I’ve found the perfect bag. Not only is it ideal for daily life—it fits your wallet, a mask, hand sanitiser and even a bit of makeup—but it’s also great for evenings out. Don’t believe me? Well, the good news is I’ve collected the evidence to prove how versatile and chic this bag actually is. But first, let me give you the details. It’s a leather crescent-shaped handbag with a thick strap. It’s smooth and pretty featureless, other than a couple of silver belt studs and a well-hidden zip. There’s no denying that it bears more than a resemblance to The Row’s Banana Bag, but it actually comes from COS at a much more affordable price point.  It’s unsurprising, then, that I’ve spotted so many minimalist...

No Doubt—M&S Has the Only Coats, Boots and Jumpers We Want to Wear This Autumn

Whenever we find ourselves lacking in cosy knits or realise we could do with investing in new boots, Marks and Spencer is the first place we turn. Continuing to build on its well-curated edit of modern workwear, versatile separates and statement knitwear and outerwear, this season, M&S also is offering brand-new silhouettes, reworked classics and some must-see dress-up moments to help you celebrate in style over the party season.  With consistent sizing (something that’s becoming infuriatingly unreliable on the high street) and a level of quality that, more often than not, surpasses its price tags, M&S purchases are always worth it. And right now, M&S’s coat, boot, jumper and party offerings are so impressive it only seems right to shar...

John DeLorean’s Daughter Reveals Model-JZD Tribute Sportscar

As the new DeLorean Motor Company introduces its vision of the future, including its Alpha5 sportscar set to hit the roads by 2024, another DeLorean company named DeLorean Next Generation Motors now appears. The DNG Motors company was created by Kat DeLorean, the daughter of the legendary John Z. DeLorean who gave birth to the DMC 12. Citing that the newly-formed DeLorean Motor Company has no affiliation or alignment with her father’s vision, she looks to introduce a new car model named “Model JZD” named after her dad. The project will return to Motor City, beginning assembly January 2023 in Detroit, Michigan with plans to reveal the car by December of that year. The design looks to echo the design of modern sports cars while maintaining the DMC 12’s defining featur...

These 8 Basics Are the Secret to Kendall Jenner’s Autumn Wardrobe

I’ll go ahead and say it: Kendall Jenner’s wardrobe is nothing if not versatile. One day the model might be at fashion week in the last It dress, and the next she’s dashing around the streets of New York in Gazelles, wide-leg jeans and a knit vest. Since she’s a fashion chameleon who clearly loves to experiment, it’s often just as fun for us to wait with bated breath for her next new look as it is for her to wear them. And as last week, Jenner was having a low-key week in Los Angeles with her very famous family, what better time to look back through some of her best recent outfits in anticipation of what she might wear next? Unexpectedly, the majority of Jenner’s most covetable looks are her ...

Hands up who owns a pair of (or even a few pairs of) black boots? That’s everyone then. 5 Winter Dress Trends Every Fashion Person Will Wear This Season

As the daily decision of going bare-legged and coat-free versus dusting off our trusty opaques and grabbing a cosy cover-up becomes ever more apparent (along with the contents of our handbag expanding to fit an umbrella, sunglasses and an extra emergency layer), it’s no surprise that we all feel slightly confused during the autumn/winter season. This seems to be the case with dresses, too. Can we still wear them? How do we wear them? And most importantly, which ones actually look good with tights? Now that our summer dresses are firmly in their vacuum bags, it’s time to think about the ones that will tick all the boxes. With my help, you can find a frock that’ll keep you feeling both chic and cosy during the chilly British wint...

I Just Got Back From New York—5 Real-Life Trends I Saw Everywhere

Every trip back to New York is a treat. Simply put, New Yorkers’ sartorial instincts are unrivalled. They’re usually some of the first to adopt emerging trends, so any outing to a restaurant or Duane Reade is like interacting with a living mood board. Recently, I went back to the city and couldn’t help but notice how put-together everyone looked. Among the various pieces I observed on its dwellers, there seemed to be five standout staples that consistently popped up among the most stylish women. Of course, upon returning home, I immediately began looking for these to add to my very own wardrobe. The items in question range from fresh runway trends to edgier streetwear staples to tried-and-true foundational pieces. Essentially, they reveal how New York ...

Watch Wheelsboy Test Drive a Convertible Chinese Suzuki Jimny

Continuing its documentation of the Chinese automotive industry, Wheelsboy has just highlighted an interesting build from YiChe Garage. While the Suzuki Jimny has already established a large cult following, many enthusiasts have always voiced their desire for an open-roof version. Following that modification spirit that is often associated with the Suzuki Jimny, YiChe Garage took it upon itself to see what a convertible Jimny would involve. The crazy, but not so surprising, aspect of this build is the fact that the garage paid some $60,000 USD to import a standard Suzuki Jimny to serve as the base of the build. Chop the top off, then add $60,000 USD worth of parts (they actually added carbon fiber fenders), and the Tank 100 is complete. Probably the most uneconomical way to go about it, es...
