Zoë Kravitz’s Simple Dress-and-Shoe Pairing Will Never Go Out of Style—Ever

Zoë Kravitz’s style is hard to pin down. Sometimes she goes for elegant gowns, while other times she’ll wear a risqué crystal-embellished naked dress. For her most recent red carpet appearance, she was the picture of minimalist chic in a simple The Row strapless tube dress and pointy-toe pumps.  Last night, Kravitz attended a dinner in Los Angeles celebrating the new Tiffany Lock collection. Her sleek dress-and-shoe pairing provided the perfect blank canvas to show off her spectacular jewellery—she was attending a Tiffany & Co. event, after all. Her special necklace in gold, platinum, and diamond was pulled from the brand’s archives from between 1890 and 1915. How impressive is that? Scroll down to see Zoë Kravitz’s newest red carpe...

No Matter How Expensive My Taste Gets, I Still Buy This Affordable Beauty Brand

Before my love for more luxury or niche brands began and before my diary was filled with gel nail and Facegym appointments, there was my beauty ritual of heading to my local Boots to get a new Barry M nail polish. As a teen, it’s something I would do every month, and I kind of credit the brand for being a stepping stone to my beauty obsession, actually. I would scan the vast selection on offer and get so excited to bring my newness home and paint my nails on a Saturday afternoon before having to remove it again on Sunday night before school. And even now, while my beauty sphere has expanded into other brands and professional gel manicures, I still have Barry M’s varnishes in my collection ready for all my at-home manis and pedis. There’s no denying that the...

I’m Losing It Over Zara’s, H&M’s and Mango’s Epic Party Pieces

You’re currently reading Who What Wear—this tells me you like to know what’s in fashion and be ahead of the curve in terms of the trends. As such, I can only assume that you, too, are beginning to think about your party looks for the season ahead. Stats show that online searches for party dresses have taken a sharp incline, and we all know the best buys sell out quickly. I, for example, had my eye on a gorgeous midnight-blue velvet dress from Warehouse, which is already gone. Alas, I continue to work on myself, to grow and to learn from my mistakes, which is why I’ve decided to bring you the sleekest partywear from Mango, Zara and H&M now in an attempt to save you from the same disappointment I’ve recently experienced. You Deserve to Make Money Even When yo...

Olafur Eliasson Unveils New Installation in Qatar

Surely, some of the new stadiums at the upcoming FIFA World Cup will turn heads, but a new installation by Olafur Eliasson will quite literally have you looking upside down. Presented in collaboration with Qatar Museums, Shadows travelling on the sea of the day, consists of 20 mirrored circular shelters, three single rings and two double rings that are meticulously placed along the desert landscape at the Northern Heritage sites near Doha. “It is a kind of reality check of your connectedness to the ground,” Eliasson said in a statement. “You are at once standing firmly on the sand and hanging, head down, from a ground that is far above you. You will probably switch back and forth between a first-person perspective and a destabilizing, third-person point of view of yourself.” While the artw...

David Zwirner Presents Selection of Artwork at IFPDA Print Fair 2022

The International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA) is back with its annual Print Fair at the Javits Center in New York City. The three day event, now running in its 29th edition, is the largest international art fair exclusively dedicated to prints and printmaking — from old world masters to the latest in contemporary art. For the first time, David Zwirner is showcasing work at the fair and will feature a selection of prints from Katherine Bernhardt, Raymond Pettibon, Neo Rauch and Marcel Dzama. Bernhardt, who recently presented her first solo exhibition with the gallery back in July, is constantly mixing and mashing up pop culture references to create vibrant compositions that beckon with color. Her two Pokémon-inspired lithographs were made in collaboration with Counter Editions in...

Everyone I Know Is Raving About These £100 Jeans

Arket’s puffer coats, Gucci’s crystal slingbacks, Mango’s shearling jacket, H&M’s wide-leg trousers… These are just a few of the would-be cult items that we introduced to you ahead of the hype this season. And, dear reader, we’re about to tip you off to another piece that’s worth knowing about. Over the past couple of months, we couldn’t help but notice that one particular item has been quietly cropping up all over our Instagram feeds. As you’ve likely deduced by the title of this article, the item is indeed a pair of jeans—Levi’s Ribcage jeans, to be precise. What makes them so special? We’re glad you asked—we decided to do a little digging into the matter, and let’s just say we think they give every jean that came...

& Other Stories Just Dropped Its Latest Designer Collab—and We’re Obsessed

Luckily for us fashion fans this new collection has a more purse-friendly price point, but the designs could easily have walked straight off the label’s latest catwalk. It may have only just launched, but our editor in chief, Hannah Almassi, managed to get herself a sneak preview of the collection in person before it dropped and can confirm the quality and fabrics also feel incredibly premium (something that can often go awry with designer-high street co-labs, we’ll admit). Unsurprisingly the collection is already flying off the shelves, so we’ve added every piece below for you to shop swiftly if you’re looking to bag yourself a piece of A.W.A.K.E MODE’s beautiful designs for less. We’re predicting the epic faux fur coat and knitted dresses will be especially big hits. Keep scro...

Activist Glues Head to Vermeer’s ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’

A climate activist glued his head to Johannes Vermeer’s iconic Girl with a Pearl Earring painting at The Hague’s Mauritshuis museum. The incident occurred earlier today, where a video published via social media shows the man glueing his head to the glass protecting the painting, while another pours a can of tomato soup over him. “How do you feel when you see something beautiful and priceless apparently being destroyed before your eyes?” asked one of the Just Stop Oil protestors shortly after pouring the soup. “Do you feel outraged? Good. Where is that feeling when you see the planet being destroyed?” BREEK – Meisje met de parel van Johannes Vermeer besmeurd in #Mauritshuis. pic.twitter.com/XzAZTOoBv9 — Steven Bakker (@Kolpen) October 27, 2022 The latest incident follows a series of similar...

Javier Calleja and NANZUKA Release ‘Mr. Günter’ Water Bottle

Javier Calleja has worked with NANZUKA on a new limited-edition water bottle. The object is inspired by a feline character from Calleja’s previous solo exhibition, Mr. Günter, The Cat Show, which went on view at Parco Museum in Tokyo earlier this summer. Well-known for his big-eyed characters that oscillate between childlike innocence and everyday humor, Mr. Günter embodies the black cat archetype that is emblematic of Halloween season. With giant yellow eyes, Calleja, as he typically does with his figures, seeks to ellicit wonder within his audience by imbuing seemingly mundane occurrences with charm, humor and optimism. Mr. Günter is an edition of 1,000 and is made using PVC, ABS, crystal glass, silicone and aluminum alloy. The hybrid sculpture-bottle sizes at 29.2 x 18.1 inches and come...

The 15 Best Cream Foundations of 2022, Hands Down

“Cream foundations tend to be a little richer, more nourishing, with a little extra coverage,” says RMS Beauty founder and celebrity makeup artist Rose-Marie Swift. It’s this richness that makes cream formulas especially beneficial for dry skin types. The rich, buttery formulas are often packed with powerful hydrators like hyaluronic acid and glycerin. According to Ellis, they’re also great for problematic or redness-prone skin that requires coverage strong enough to cancel out redness. “Their moisturising textures help to cushion and even out the complexion in a more natural way,” she adds. If your skin is more on the oily side, however, then cream foundations might not be the best option for you, since you probably don’t need the added moisture. Instead, look for powd...
