Porsche Introduces Its Lightweight Sports Car, the 911 Carrera T

Porsche is expanding its 911 lineup with an all-new lightweight sports car: the 911 Carrera T. Notably, the “T” stands for touring, articulating the vehicle’s purist driving experience and sporty mechanics. This latest model arrives with the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-6 engine as the flagship 911, pumping 379 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque. Weighing 3,241 pounds, the Carrera T is the lightest series 911 with the entry-level engine. Building on the base model, which can only be matched with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the T can also be paired with the seven-speed manual of the Carrera S. In manual, the company states that the T can reach 60 mph in 4.3 seconds; and with the dual-clutch automatic, it can reach the same speed in just 3.8 sec...

Cadillac Unveils Its $300,000 USD Ultra-Luxury CELESTIQ EV

Cadillac CELESTIQ concept is now a reality with the unveiling of the production model of the all-electric, ultra-luxury sedan. The car manufacturer pulled from each era of its rich heritage — the CELESTIQ’s proportions harken back to its vehicles of the ’30s and ’50s — and channels such iconic, handbuilt vehicles such as the 1933 V16 Aerodynamic Coupe and the 1957 Eldorado Brougham. “CELESTIQ is the purest expression of Cadillac, acknowledging our incredible history and driving us to a bolder and brighter future,” said Global Vice President of Cadillac Rory Harvey. “It is a completely bespoke work of automotive art, built around the most advanced and innovative technology that we have ever engineered into an automobile.” The CELESTIQ al...

French Girls All Agree, This Timeless Piece Is a Non Negotiable

From what I can see via social media, French girls are not wearing puffer coats, or even leather jackets. Apparently. when the temperatures drop they all reach for one thing–a tweed jacket. Cropped or longline, boxy or fitted blazer, the tweed jacket has been a staple in French wardrobes since it’s introduction by Coco Chanel, and some 100 years later, it’s still considered a must-have.  Although the original look might have included a demure co-ordinating midi skirt and a string of pearls, today’s influencers are bringing the look up-to-date with straight-legged jeans and great accessories, trés chic, non? And it might be the easiest way to update the blazer + tee + loafer uniform we lived in all summer.  So, to help you plan your next autumnal o...

24 Products Beauty Editors Can’t Stop Recommending To Their Friends

“If you could see into my Instagram DMs, you’d notice that I get asked for feedback about this a lot and I totally get why, it’s a major investment. But in my opinion, 100% worth it. My hair is long, thick, poker straight, and always throws up major resistance to holding any type of curl or wave. In fact, I’d long since given up on attempting to curl it with regular tongs, not least because it would take about two hours to work around my entire head, but also because any semblance of a curl would have dropped within a matter of hours. When I tried the Airwrap for the first time my mind was blown. Within half an hour I had managed to achieve the kind of bouncy blow-dry curls I could previously only dream of seeing after a salon visit, and what’s more they lasted. Granted, no style is e...

Lorin Gallery is Spotlighting SOCKO’s Universe of Characters

SOCKO is a South Korean artist best known for creating wide-eyed characters that beckon with color. Having recently featured in a group exhibition at Lorin Gallery in April, the artist returns to the space for his very own solo exhibition, titled A Whole New World. Presented in conjunction with League OTO, SOCKO’s practice is centered around the fictional character, Dough and made to imbue a sense of childhood innocence and nostalgia within the viewer. While the compositions may appear flat from a distance, they begin to reveal vivid textures that almost appear three-dimensional on closer inspection. For SOCKO, the character Dough represents the experiences he felt after moving to LA at age 16. Through the act of painting, the artist confronts his own feelings of fear and hope to encourage...

10 Simple Outfits That Make Getting Dressed So Easy

Now is the time to start thinking about your autumn/winter wardrobe. As British weather can’t be relied on, having cold-weather pieces at the ready is just a way of life, and plenty of our favourite autumn pieces are trans-seasonal, making them clever staples to invest in at any time. When the days start to cool down, we typically return to back-to-school tailoring, checked prints and a more muted colour palette. Often in autumn, the simplest outfits are the most reliable (especially considering that the weather can dramatically change within hours). We have identified nine basic outfits using a classic capsule—including a trench coat, ankle boots, a cashmere jumper and a heritage blazer—that you can always rely on come autumn and winter. All the items you’l...

Trust Me—This Classic Coat Trend Makes Every Winter Outfit Look Fabulous

Do leopard-print coats ever go out of fashion? We’d argue that no, they never do. Thanks to the likes of modern muses Kate Moss and Alexa Chung, this particular coat or jacket is always a great way to make an outfit suddenly more fabulous. So, what do you need to know about the style and how is it making a statement this season? For 2022, anything goes. There was a return to the more classic faux-fur look, with Yuhan Wang putting a fluffy iteration complete with matching hat and a real life cat on the runway for autumn/winter. But then there are also more stripped-back outerwear options. Ulla Johnson opted for a belted plisse coat for her AW22 collection that looks elegant, timeless and is more wearable than other styles. Celine had autumn-appropriate jackets teamed with wa...

My Friends Say They Never Had Great Brows Until I Turned Them On to This Product

Even though my arsenal of brow products might not be as “exciting” as other makeup staples in my routine—like my stack of glitter eye shadows, for instance—I can’t imagine doing a full face of makeup without one of my favourite trusted brow pencils (followed by a quick swipe of brow gel, duh). I’m a self-proclaimed minimalist when it comes to my arches, and I personally prefer a pencil when it comes to adding a hint of “oomph” and definition to my brows. I definitely don’t have Cara Delevingne–caliber brows by any means, but most of my friends and family members do, by now, ask me for recommendations when it comes to the best tools. And nine times out of 10, I point them to waterproof eyebrow pencils, as I’ve found them to have...

I’m a Minimalist, and These Are the 4 Affordable Looks I’m Wearing for Autumn

Technically, we’re getting two looks for the price of one here from Preston, but there were too many good striped pieces in the George collection to only select one, and this just exemplifies that you can never have too many tees or Breton stripes! “When I really want to add colour to my outfit, my go-to thing to do is add red lipstick. For one reason or another, denim and Breton tops always look great with a splash of red. Maybe it’s because blue and red are complementary shades, or perhaps it’s because it references its French heritage, but either way, it’s so timeless.” Be it with a T-shirt or a jumper, the stripes-blazer-jeans combo is one of the most trustworthy outfits in any wardrobe. They go together as organically as strawberries and cream. When it came to selecting the colour of ...

Mansory’s New Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon Custom Features Suicide Doors and a 900-Horsepower Engine

The automotive customization masterminds at Mansory have tweaked and tinkered with everything from McLarens to Ferraris and are even responsible for Drake’s infamous Chrome Hearts Rolls-Royce, but one of their favorite canvases is Mercedes-Benz’s boxy G Wagon, a tanklike SUV that they’ve just tricked out with suicide doors. A new customization option that the German outfit says gives the G-Wagon an “exclusive, extraordinary look,” the suicide doors are also accompanied by an upgraded engine and much more. G-Wagons are already ultra-powerful offroad behemoths, but Mansory cranks their capabilities up even further with a 900-horsepower engine that pushes out a whopping 1,200 nm of torque. The looks stack up to the performance as well, thanks to gradient paint jo...

Tesla Semi Truck Spotted Broken Down on Highway

With just a little over a month until Tesla is set to deliver the first batch of 100 Semi Trucks to Pepsi this December, a video has surfaced showing a broken down Semi Truck on a Californian highway. Spotted by Serge The Car Hauler, the video shows the truck near the Fremont factory broken down near the on-ramp with police, a Tesla service vehicle, a tow truck, and another 18-wheeler to the side. There’s no news on if the Semi will be delayed again, but if Tesla is still working out the kinks, this could be an indicator that some orders may not be fulfilled until 2023. In other automotive news, Rolls-Royce officially unveils its all-electric Spectre. Read more at HYPEBEAST

Do Ho Suh Presents His Chromatic Sculptures at Lehmann Maupin

Acclaimed South Korean artist Do Ho Suh has unveiled a new solo exhibition at Lehmann Maupin in New York. The eponymously titled show begins with one of the London-based artist’s signature transparent sculptures — a towering red structure titled Inverted Monument (2022). Made with extruded thermoplastic polyester developed with a robotics team at the Centre for Print Research, UWE Bristol, the series initially started during the pandemic and investigates Suh’s interest in questioning the authority of the artist’s hand. Suh is also exhibiting new art from his longstanding Specimen series. In each, the artist creates chromatic fabric replicas of various objects from his past and present studio spaces — from doorknobs, corded telephones, light-switches and more. On the lower level of the gall...
