The long-awaited announcement for OVO Fest is finally here. Following news of its return earlier this year, Drake has taken to Instagram just last week to reveal what fans think will be the first of many headlining announcements for the upcoming OVO Fest in October, this year.
This year’s performances will mark the return of OVO Fest for the first time in three years. In a reveal on Instagram, Drake shares that he will be bringing Vybz Kartel to Toronto “for the first time ever.” Kartel recently joined Drake at London’s Wireless Festival in July this year. So far, no other performer has been announced just yet, but fans are already taking to social media, eager for tickets for the experience, heading to TO on October 26 and 27.
The Instagram announcement also reads in the caption, “@vybzkartel DI TEACHA LIVE IN TORONTO FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER CHAMPAGNE BDAY CELEBRATIONS,” noting that it is shaping up to be a big homecoming celebration for The Boy. At the time of writing, Drake posted a meme to his Stories commenting on how his cousins in town have already began hitting him up for free tickets. Stay tuned for more information ahead of OVO Fest.
