Mama’s Gun was released in November 2000 as the follow-up to Badu’s breakout 1997 debut album, Baduizm. It was led by her first Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, “Bag Lady,” which also received Grammy nominations for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song. Another fan favorite from the album is “Didn’t Cha Know.”
These new dates follow Badu’s previously announced “Abi & Alan Tour” with The Alchemist, in support of their forthcoming collaborative album. The project will mark Badu’s first studio LP in 15 years. Get tickets for those shows here.
