From Danna Paola’s ‘Breakup Party’ to TikTok Dances, Here’s How to Spend Your Galentine’s Day

From Danna Paola’s ‘Breakup Party’ to TikTok Dances, Here’s How to Spend Your Galentine’s Day

In honor of Galentine’s Day, Billboard compiled some music-related ideas to celebrate with your closest friends in-person or via video.

Crash Danna Paola’s “Breakup Party”

Last month, Danna Paola dropped her most personal album yet, K.O., released via Universal Music Mexico. With songs such as “Friend de Semana” and “Amor Ordinario,” Danna says her album represents healing. “I used it to drain everything I had in my heart,” she told Billboard. “That’s why I named it ‘K.O.’ — because it was like the last punch to the heart during this whole process.” In celebration, the Mexican pop star invites all of her fans to her “breakup party” via a state-of-the-art live stream that includes three stages, 16 dancers, and audiovisual effects, to name a few. The concert will take place at 9:30 p.m. ET on Saturday (Feb. 13) via StreamTime. For more information, click here.

Enjoy Kany Garcia’s Intimate Show

Kany Garcia will also croon fans on Galentine’s Day with her second livestream during the pandemic. Celebrating love, the acoustic set will take place at 8 p.m. ET via LivePassPlay, where she will perform her greatest hits in an intimate setting. “For me there is nothing more special than sharing my music with you, opening the doors of my heart and my house,” she expressed on social media. Listen To Female Empowerment Tunes

If all you want to do is pop a bottle of champagne, talk chisme with your girls, and listen to music, then blast the volume to our all-female Latin collaborations playlist. From Chiquis and Becky G on a new version of “Jolene” to Kany García and Mon Laferte’s “Se Portaba Mal” to Maria Becerra’s “High (Remix)” with Tini and Lola Indigo, click on the article below to catch the ultimate Galentine’s Day vibe.

Have a Binge-Watch Session

You watched Danna and Kany’s concert, you jammed out to Billboard’s female Latin collabs list, and the night is just getting started? Why not make some popcorn, grab some sweet snacks, and make it a binge night? We suggest watching Netflix’s Selena: The Series or Mariposa de Barrio are two great coming-of-age series that tell the story of the late Regional Mexican superstars Selena Quintanilla and Jenni Rivera.

Just TikTok!

And when all fails, TikTok-it-out! Take your tripod, charge your phone, gather your girls, and make it a night of learning TikTok dances. Some challenges we suggest are Black Eyed Peas’ and Shakira’s “Girl Like Me,” Karol G’s “Bichota,” Selena Gomez and Rauw Alejandro’s “Baila Conmigo,” and Yotuel, Omar Montes’ and Beatriz Luengo’s “Rebelde,” to name a few.
