Apple TV+ has officially dropped the trailer for the second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, setting the stage for a catastrophic Titan clash. Returning to the secretive archives of Monarch, the preview confirms the return of heavy hitters Godzilla and King Kong while introducing a new, bioluminescent threat emerging from the deep.

Picking up after the Season 1 finale, the narrative finds the fate of Monarch hanging in the balance. The trailer teases a convergence on Kong’s Skull Island and the discovery of a mysterious village connected to the rise of a new Titan. Dubbed “Titan X,” this ancient force is described as a living cataclysm, breaking the ocean’s surface to challenge the existing hierarchy of monsters and blur the lines between friend and foe.

The ensemble cast sees the return of Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai and Kiersey Clemons, continuing the multi-generational saga of Army officer Lee Shaw. Expanding the roster, the season welcomes new faces including Prey star Amber Midthunder and Cliff Curtis. Beyond the main series, Apple TV+ has also confirmed the expansion of the franchise with an untitled prequel focusing on a young Lee Shaw, solidifying the streamer’s commitment to Legendary’s Monsterverse.

Check out the trailer above. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 premieres on Apple TV+ on February 27.
