Harry Styles’ "Aperture" Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

Summary

  • Harry Styles’ new single “Aperture” debuted at No. 1, marking his first release after a three-year hiatus
  • The electronic-infused track signals a hypnotic evolution ahead of his March 6 album
  • Styles outperformed artists like Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift

Harry Styles has officially reclaimed the pop stratosphere. After a three-year musical hiatus, the British icon’s latest single,Aperture,” has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track serves as a dominant lead-in to his highly anticipated album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., marking his first full-length project since 2022’s Harry’s House.

Defying current micro-pop trends, the Kid Harpoon-produced single clocks in at over five minutes. Its slow-burning, electronic-infused soundscape represents a hypnotic evolution for Styles, earning critical acclaim for its depth. This victory marks Styles’ third career leader on the Hot 100 – following the global success of “Watermelon Sugar” and “As It Was” – officially dethroning Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might.

Beyond the chart-topper, the rest of the Top 10 showcases a diverse field. Ella Langley hit a career-high at No. 2 with “Choosin’ Texas,” followed by Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need,” Huntr/x’s “Golden” and Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia.” The remaining spots are held by Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might,” Alex Warren’s “Ordinary,” and Sombr’s “Back to Friends,” Kehlani “Folded” and a second Swift entry, “Opalite,” rounding out the list.

“Aperture” is available now on all streaming platforms, while the full album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., is slated for release on March 6. Stream the single below.
