Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku is set to return with its highly anticipated second season, arriving three years after the anime’s debut. Following its successful first run, studio MAPPA will return to deliver the next installment, which is confirmed for a January 11, 2026, premiere.

Based on Yuji Kaku’s manga, the anime follows condemned ninja Gabimaru and executioner Sagiri as they navigate a mysterious island in search of the Elixir of Life. Season 1 was praised for its blend of brutal action and philosophical undertones, setting the stage for deeper exploration of the island’s secrets and the characters’ moral dilemmas in the upcoming episodes.

A striking new main visual has also been unveiled alongside the confirmed premiere date, strongly hinting at the intensity of the upcoming arc. The artwork gathers Gabimaru and eleven other central characters, emphasizing their grim determination as they face the overwhelming presence of the island’s true rulers, the Tensen, and their enigmatic leader Rien.

This second season is confirmed to adapt the pivotal “Lord Tensen” and “Hōrai” arcs from the original manga, signaling the long-awaited explosion of the human versus Tensen conflict. The new season also expands the cast with the arrival of four new Yamada Asaemon executioners – Shugen, Jikka, Kiyomaru and Isuzu – whose voice actors and character visuals have also been revealed.

Crunchyroll has confirmed streaming rights for Season 2, maintaining a simulcast release worldwide outside of Asia.
