
James Ransone, the actor best known for his roles in The Wire, Generation Kill, and It: Chapter Two, has died at the age of 46.
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Ransone died by suicide on Friday, December 19th.
In The Wire, Ranson played “Ziggy” Sabotka, son of Frank Sobotka, in season 2 of the hit HBO crime series. He later portrayed Cpl. Josh Ray Person in Generation Kill, HBO’s miniseries set during the initial invasion of Iraq.
Ransone’s other acting credits included the films Black Phone 2 and V/H/S/85, and the television series Poker Face, Seal Team, 50 States of Fright.
