Jay Weinberg has announced the upcoming sale of gear and memorabilia on his Reverb shop starting March 18th, with a portion of the proceeds going to the charity MusiCares, a non-profit providing health services, addiction recovery, and financial assistance to working musicians.

The gear and memorabilia features full drum kits from his time in groups like Slipknot and backing Bruce Springsteen in the E Street Band, as well as masks and outfits worn on stage as a member of Slipknot.

Weinberg has drummed for a number of bands, including thrash legends Suicidal Tendencies, punk band Against Me!, and the hardcore groups Madball and Hesitation Wounds. Weinberg served as the drummer of Slipknot from 2014 until late 2023, replacing founding member Joey Jordison in the group following his departure.

Several of the drum kits come from Weinberg’s stint in Slipknot, as well as snares, cymbals, and drum thrones, making this an ideal sale for not just fans of the band but musicians as well.

One of the kits was designed in collaboration with SJC Custom Drums, as well as Weinberg’s personal tattoo artist, Thomas Hooper. It was used on the tour cycle for the Slipknot record, We Are Not Your Kind.

Additionally, there is a kit hand-painted by Weinberg himself, featuring a multi-color balloon design from his time touring with Against Me! Inspired in part by the cover art of the album Harmonicraft by Torche, it is colorfully titled the “Pokemon Vomit” kit. It was also used 12 years later on a European tour with Suicidal Tendencies.

Many of the drumheads for sale come from the recording sessions for We Are Not Your Kind, catalogued by which song they were used on, allowing fans to purchase equipment not just played on albums and tours, but particular pieces of music. There is also a Roland V-Drum electronic kit used for much of the writing of both We Are Not Your Kind, as well as material from the following record, The End, So Far.

In January, Weinberg announced his departure from Suicidal Tendencies after two years.
