Jimmy Kimmel has signed a contract extension with Disney that keeps him on ABC through the end of the 2026-2027 television season, according to Bloomberg.
The agreement follows a tumultuous stretch earlier this fall, when Disney briefly pulled Kimmel’s late-night show after remarks he made following Charlie Kirk’s murder amid a pressure campaign by the FCC against local TV syndicators. However, after pushback from creative guilds and free-speech advocates, Disney lifted the suspension after nine days.
Kimmel has remained a thorn in Donald Trump’s side since returning to the air, frequently gloating about the president’s low approval ratings and offering to host an IQ test. The late-night host did recently offer to end his show if Trump were to also step down.
