First premiered in April 2024, the series introduces audiences to Kafka, a 32-year-old stuck in a dead-end job cleaning up Kaiju remains. His life changed forever when a small creature entered his body, granting him the ability to transform into a powerful humanoid monster, Kaiju No. 8. This newfound power finally allowed him to pursue his lifelong dream of joining the JDF to combat the Kaiju threat.
Alongside the final arc reveal, a new anime short titled Narumi’s Weekday was also announced.
