Lana Del Rey Returns With Her “Favorite Song” From ‘Stove’

Lana Del Rey Returns With Her "Favorite Song" From 'Stove'

Lana Del Rey‘s new era just might be upon us…

The lead single lifted from her long-awaited new studio project, Stove, has materialized at last. Entitled “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter,” the track is a true family affair, written by Del Rey herself, of course, alongside her sister Chuck Grant, her brother-in-law Jason Pickens, and her husband Jeremy Dufrene. Dufrene is a big topic of discussion on the four-minute cut, which also features production contributions from Jack Antonoff, strings from Drew Erickson, and additional mixing from Dean Reid and Laura Sisk.

Stove, at first, was slated to signal a sonic shift for Del Rey, marking a foray into a more country composition. Needless to say, the September date came and went, and was shifted to May 2025, with new title The Right Person Will Stay. Once again, the intended release date is in the rearview, the LP once again boasting a new name of Stove and now void of a confirmed drop date.

“I know, you’re asking about the record, but honestly, soon because vinyl takes three months, so you have three months plus two weeks…it could be give or take a little bit less than that. But aside from that, I really want you to focus on this single,” she wrote on her Instagram story yesterday.  In another post, she referred to “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter” as her “favorite song” lifted from the album.

Stream “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter” out everywhere now, and stay tuned as more information transpires on Stove – if that’s still the name of the project, that is…
