Lucky 15 Tips – Saturday’s 508/1 Lucky 15 from Newcastle

Newcastle Lucky 15 tips for 27 November

On a big day of horse racing at Newcastle this Saturday, 27 November, SportsLens experts give Lucky 15 tips from the supporting card. One leg of the wager is live on terrestrial TV as part of ITV Racing coverage. With total combined odds of 508/1, this latest Lucky 15 bet should appeal.

Sign up to William Hill, using promo code M40, and try this Lucky 15 after wagering £10 to get £40 – £30 in free bets for the sportsbook, plus a £10 casino bonus.

A £1 unit stake (£15 wagered in total) on our Lucky 15 tips returns £509.47 based on the current prices of all four selections. That is the maximum punters will receive if our Lucky 15 tipster is spot on. The great thing about this bet, though, is it can still yield plenty of profit if the quartet of horses don’t win.

As part of this punt, there is a 173/1 fourfold Lucky 15 accumulator which results in the max payout if it comes off. All odds quoted here were correct at the time of writing, but please remember prices fluctuate. Market gambles happen regularly. It’s time to look at the Newcastle Lucky 15 tips for 27 November in more detail:

Newcastle Lucky 15 Tips Leg 1 – Too Friendly (11:45)

In the opening 2m juvenile hurdle, Too Friendly bids to follow-up on a successful debut over obstacles at Stratford. Dan Skelton has a 22 per cent strike rate with his runners at Newcastle, so this Flat convert is in the right hands. A gelding by Camelot, Too Friendly has a similar profile to owner-stable companion Allmankind.

His fine eighth in a Heritage Handicap during the July Festival at Newmarket saw him home just six lengths behind Dubai Honour. The winner went on to land consecutive Group 2s in France before finishing second in the Champion Stakes at Ascot, so that is top form. Too Friendly was a better horse on the Flat than main market rival Twilight Twist, so odds of 5/4 look solid.

Leg 2 – Captain Quint (12:55)

The French Furze Novices’ Hurdle over 2m 6f usually sees the favourite turned over. That trend – something horse racing betting sites don’t want punters to know – could well continue here, according to our Lucky 15 tips, as Captain Quint made an encouraging Rules debut over a trip well short of what his breeding suggests he wants last time out.

Rose Dobbin is a smart trainer when she gets the right ammunition, and this five-year-old Flemensfirth gelding could be useful. Runner-up in his only Irish Point, Captain Quint handled the stiff uphill climb out of the back straight at Hexham. Horses need to stay further to get the trip at that other Northeast venue. Now going markedly up in distance, Captain Quint really does look a bit of value to serve it up to runners from the southern stables and follow-up at 15/2.

Leg 3 – Valleres (1:30)

Another with a stamina laden pedigree is Alan King’s Valleres in the extended 2m 7f novices’ limited handicap chase. Rated 135 over hurdles, this six-year-old son of Coastal Path was bought for owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede for fences. Valleres steps up in distance to this trip for the first time since winning an Irish Point.

He also shaped well enough on his bow over regulation fences at Newbury earlier this month, keeping on into third over 2m 4f. Valleres often bumped into one in his hurdle races, yet runs off 3lb below his last winning mark here. It makes him look well-handicapped with assured stamina from the distaff side of his family. Valleres is 11/10 to get his head in front here.

Leg 4 – Cool Jet (2:40)

Just before the feature Fighting Fifth Hurdle, there’s a 2m maiden hurdle where Cool Jet makes his British bow for northern trainer Brian Ellison. Purchased out of the powerful Willie Mullins stable in Ireland, this five-year-old by Jet Away was thought good enough to run in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in March.

That race always throws up tons of subsequent hurdles winners. Cool Jet improved on 12th place in that Grade 1 with a decent sixth at the Punchestown Festival. Again, plenty of successes have come out of that event. Cool Jet could prove a smart buy for his new connections, so looks well worth a wager at a tempting 10/3 price.
