Mass Appeal and Marvel have teamed up to release the first issue of a limited edition comic book series, Legend Has It….
Inspired by the album series of the same name, the comic book series honors seven of New York’s most influential artists: Nas and DJ Premier, Ghostface Killah, Mobb Deep, Raekwon, Big L, De La Soul and Slick Rick. Legend Has It… blends Marvel’s iconic storytelling with Mass Appeal’s deep cultural roots to celebrate the timeless impact of these artists through a dynamic new medium. Written by Brandon Thomas and illustrated by Sanford Greene, the narrative weaves together music, myth, and legacy, creating a highly sought-after collectible for fans of hip-hop, comics, and pop culture.
Issue 1 will debut on October 10 at New York Comic Con, where a live panel will feature Nas and various surprise guests to discuss the intersection of hip-hop and superhero mythology. The comic will also be available for purchase in limited quantities at the event.
