Back in 2000, Nelly implored Donald Trump to “let me in now” on his breakout hit, “Country Grammar (Hot Shit).” More than two decades later, the St. Louis rapper is reportedly set to live out that dream at one of the incoming President’s three inaugural balls.
Per Semafor reporter Kadia Goba, Nelly has been slated to perform at the Liberty Inaugural Ball, which will take place on Monday, January 20th following Trump’s inauguration and presidential parade, among many other planned events.
Earlier this week, Carrie Underwood revealed she will sing “America the Beautiful” at the presidential inauguration, and the Village People confirmed they will be performing at “inaugural activities, including at least one event with President Elect Trump.”
