Netflix’s ‘Physical: Asia’ Trailer Promises Mental and Physical Warfare

Summary

  • Netflix released the full trailer for Physical: Asia, premiering October 28
  • Teams from eight nations, including the Philippines and Australia, compete for national pride
  • Legendary athletes like Manny Pacquiao and Robert Whittaker are set to compete

Netflix has released the full trailer for Physical: Asia, the first international edition of the global Physical franchise.

Set for release this October 28, the trailer hints at quests that are both physically and mentally demanding. Athletes from Korea, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Türkiye, Indonesia, Australia and the Philippines will team up per country to be the last group standing. Legendary athletes such as Manny Pacquiao and Robert Whittaker are set to compete alongside fan-favorite competitors like “Stun Gun” Kim Dong-hyun, Recep Kara, Superbon, Yushin Okami, Igdnez Executioner, Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan and more.

“Because this season brings together athletes of different sports and body types, we developed a much wider range of quests that allow everyone to showcase their unique strengths,” said director Jang Ho-gi. “We also prepared unexpected twists that will surprise even those who’ve studied the previous seasons. While keeping what worked well before, we’ve worked hard to introduce new and more diverse games.”

He added, “Although this season focuses on team competition, we also included rounds that highlight individuals from each team.”
