He accepts the offer from the show’s charismatic but cold-blooded producer, Dan Killian, played by Josh Brolin, to become a Runner. But Richards’ raw defiance and fierce instincts quickly transform him from a desperate contestant into an unexpected sensation—a ratings juggernaut and a threat to the network controlling the entire system. As his fame skyrockets, so does the danger, forcing Richards to outwit a nation that is obsessed with watching him fall.
The film, which is a remake of the original Arnold Schwarzenegger-starring 1987 film of the same name. The story, by Stephen King now receives a new cast which sees Powell star alongside Colman Domingo. Jayme Lawson, Lee Pace, Karl Glusman, Katy O’Brian, Michael Cera and more.
