Noah Weiland paid tribute to his late father, Scott Weiland, with a concert marking the 10th anniversary of the legendary singer’s passing. The show took place Wednesday night, December 3rd, at the Garden Amp outdoor amphitheater in Orange County, California, with Noah singing songs from his dad’s bands Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver.
Upon announcing the concert last month, Noah told Rolling Stone, “My old therapist gave me the idea to throw a party, get-together for my father. I didn’t even realize it was about to be 10 years until he brought it up. My brain started cooking ideas up instantly.”
The entire concert was posted on YouTube, showing Noah singing Velvet Revolver’s “Slither” and Stone Temple Pilots’ “Plush,” among other songs, at times struggling to hit the notes his dad made famous. At one point, Noah takes out a cigarette, and gets a light from an audience member.
