Rodrigo will likely perform “drop dead” while pulling double duty as the Saturday Night Live host and musical guest on May 2nd.

The pop star previously described you seem pretty sad, the follow-up to 2023’s GUTS, as a “creative challenge” because it was written while in a relationship with British actor Louis Partridge.
“I realized all my favorite romantic love songs were beautiful because they had a tinge of fear or yearning in them,” Rodrigo explained, adding that she was inspired by the obsession and anxiety of her own romance.
