As previously reported, Cillian Murphy will once again don his tweed flat cap as he reprises the role of Tommy Shelby in Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. Today, we learn that the return of Mr. Shelby will also include one heck of a corresponding official soundtrack.
Due out March 6th via Milan Records, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man OST features 36 total songs (including five all-new recordings) spanning both the score and newly commissioned songs. In addition to a score from frequent collaborators Antony Genn and Martin Slattery, the soundtrack boasts heavy contributions from Fontaines D.C. members Grian Chatten, Carlos O’Connell, and Tom Coll and Amy Taylor of Amyl & the Sniffers. There’s also a “curated selection of needle-drops” from Lankum, McLusky, and Nick Cave, who re-recorded the iconic “Red Right Hand.”
The aforementioned Chatten features heavily across the OST, including providing a Massive Attack cover and the song “Puppet,” which serves as our first official preview of the OST. Written alongside Genn and Slattery, the song is described as a “post-rock, atmospheric track that captures the psychological weight of the Peaky Blinders universe.” Check it out below.
