Prada has officially brought its traveling cultural series to New York City with the launch of Prada Mode New York “Satellites II.” Hosted at the historic Hotel Chelsea, the 14th iteration of the luxury house’s immersive event reunites Danish film director Nicolas Winding Refn and Japanese game creator Hideo Kojima for a multi-day exhibition that runs concurrently with the Tribeca Festival.
Serving as an expansive continuation of their original 2025 collaboration in Tokyo, “Satellites II” weaves themes of love, language, and creativity directly into the romantic iconography of the Chelsea. The spatial narrative seamlessly transitions between the public, domestic, and intimate environments of the landmark location. Curators Refn and Kojima have transformed the space by introducing a classical yet progressive science fiction aesthetic to the storied hotel.
During the event’s private opening, select hotel rooms functioned as micro television studios showcasing highly original performances. For the remainder of the program, these same spaces have been converted into intentional art installations open to the broader audience. Expanding beyond the walls of the Hotel Chelsea, the cultural programming also includes screenings, artist conversations, and site-specific installations spread across various New York venues, offering an unforgettable cosmic voyage into the minds of the two visionary auteurs.
The Prada Mode New York “Satellites II” public days are live now and will run through June 7 at the Hotel Chelsea and select surrounding venues.
