RUN DMC and LEGO have teamed up to remix the iconic 1983 hip-hop track It’s Like That into a new campaign called She Built That, aimed at empowering the next generation of female builders. The music video stars LEGO Minifigure versions of Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels alongside a vibrant Global Girls Crew — including DJ Livia, drummer Nandi Bushell, singer Pink Oculus and Chinese alt-pop artist Cacien. Together, they reimagine the classic track to challenge the outdated stereotype that “builders” are male.

The colorful, brick-filled video blends LEGO animation, live-action cameos and sign language to spotlight girls as powerful creators. Backed by new research showing that kids overwhelmingly associate building with masculinity, the campaign urges society to redefine the word “builder” and give girls the confidence to innovate, create and lead.
