Sebastian Stan is reportedly in talks to switch from the MCU to the DCU with a role in The Batman: Part II.
The actor, who plays Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in movies like Thunderbolts* and the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, joins fellow Marvel star Scarlett Johansson in crossing franchises. Neither Stan nor Johansson’s roles are known at this time, though many fan sites are suggesting the former would make a strong Harvey Dent/Two-Face. He does seem too old to be cast as Robin, however.
After considerable delay, The Batman: Part II is expected to begin filming in spring with sights on an October 2027 release. Robert Pattinson will return as the Caped Crusader, with director Matt Reeves also writing the script alongside Mattson Tomlin. Other stars returning from the 2022 original are expected to include Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth), Jeffrey Wright (James Gordon), and Colin Farrell (The Penguin). Currently, Zoë Kravitz appears unlikely to reprise her role as Catwoman.
