Jeff Daniels to Narrate Audiobook of Jim Carrey’s Novel
Dumb and Dumber co-stars Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey are reuniting — in the literary sense. On July 7th, Carrey will release his new novel, Memoirs and Misinformation, and Daniels will provide the narration for the accompanying audiobook. On Twitter, Carrey said he “couldn’t be more delighted” to have his friend along for the ride, to which Daniels responded, “Buckle up. The State Cast to Reunite for Charity Livestream
This Wednesday, the cast of MTV’s cult-favorite show The State will reunite over Zoom to raise money for the NAACP and the California Immigrant Resilience Fund. It’s the second time the ‘90s sketch comedy crew will reunite virtually in recent months, as they recreated “Porcupine Racetrack” this April to celebrate the series’ 25th anniversary. Spike Lee and Ray Allen Working on He Got Game 2
Jesus Shuttlesworth may hit the court again. In a new interview with The Encore, director Spike Lee discussed the possibility of a sequel to 1998’s He Got Game. He even has a new player in mind: New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson. “We were trying to, B.C. not ‘before Christ’ but ‘before corona,’ try to get a meet and greet (with Zion),” Lee explained. “Ray [Allen] and I were going to go to a home game in New Orleans. So, I’m still for it. The story is murky in my mind, but the material is so rich.” So would Williamson. Sheriff Dewey Riley will escape the clutches of death yet again. Well, hopefully. According to Deadline, David Arquette has signed on to reprise his iconic role in the forthcoming Scream reboot from Radio Silence and Spyglass Media Group. “I am thrilled to be playing Dewey again and to reunite with my Scream family, old and new,” Arquette shared. “Scream has been such a big part of my life, and for both the fans and myself, I look forward to honoring Wes Craven’s legacy.” Editors’ Picks Arquette starred in all four of the Scream films, clumsily surviving each one. Cue up the Aerosmith, Bruce Willis is dialing things back to Summer 1998. On Thursday, the blockbuster star waxed nostalgic amidst quarantine by dusting off his trademark orange jump suit from Michael Bay’s Armageddon. His daughter Rumer Willis, posted the hilarious photo on her Instagram, writing, “He said this is ‘His saving the [world] outfit’ (Actual one from Armageddon).” She also added an appropriate hashtag: “#ThisManIsADamnLegend.” Not gonna lie, it’s good seeing Harry Stamper back in action, particularly after he saved the world at the end there on that nasty asteroid.
