US Sunbelt mayors warned Sunday that their cities are at risk of being overwhelmed by a surge of coronavirus cases as they pushed back against US President Donald Trump’s attempt to minimize the gravity of the spreading virus. The pair’s SpringHill Entertainment has signed a two-year deal with ABC Studios to develop scripted series for the Disney-owned property. Deadline reports that James and Carter have been shopping around with various networks and platforms for a new distribution home for SpringHill after signing with Warner Bros. in 2015. Scrubs Blackface Episodes Pulled from Hulu at Creator’s Request
Scrubs has some literal scrubbing to do. As Variety reports, show creator Bill Lawrence and ABC themselves are pulling multiple episodes featuring characters in blackface from Hulu. There are three episodes of Scrubs in total with various characters in blackface: “My Fifteen Seconds” (season 3, episode 7), “My Jiggly Ball” (season 5, episode 4), and “My Chopped Liver” (season 5, episode 17). In one of them, Zach Braff, who plays the show’s lead character, wears blackface at a party. In another, Sarah Chalke’s character is in blackface during a dream sequence. Arsenal have been linked with a sensational swap deal involving Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, while Mikel Arteta is intent on signing Philippe Coutinho, all in the Euro papers. Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo report that Arsenal will let Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona in a swap deal for Ousmane Dembele. Like all other major touring artists, Taylor Swift won’t be performing any of her planned concerts this year due to the pandemic. Fortunately for her fans, they will still have a chance to see the pop star “live” when the Taylor Swift City of Lover Concert special airs next weekend on ABC. The special will premiere on Sunday, May 17th at 10:00 p.m. EDT, and will be available on demand, on Hulu, and on Disney+ the following day. City of Lover captures Swift’s intimate performance at Paris’ 2,000-capacity L’Olympia Theater from September 9th, 2019.
