‘Hideous’, ‘Horrible’ – Some Man Utd fans react to their 2021/22 away kit

Manchester United have unveiled their Adidas away kit for the 2021/22 season. Adidas have used cloud white as the primary colour, with the kit inspired by the Manchester United jersey from the 1990s. The new away shirt is a throwback to the club’s famous ‘class of 92’, which helped United reach the top of English football. The kit features a geometric blue graphic print on the front back and the sleeves. It is also referred to as the ‘iconic snowflake design’. The zig-zag design has a fade-out effect, and the kit is complete with blue shorts and white socks with a similar graphical pattern on the shirt. It also features the contemporary Adidas brand symbol on the front along with the TeamViewer logo. The German IT giants were announced as the club’s new main sponsor back in March. United’s...

No sign of Sergio Ramos in Real Madrid shirt launch

Sergio Ramos was one of the noticeable face that didn’t appear in any of the photos of Real Madrid’s kit launch campaign for the 2021/22 season. MARCA has learned that he wasn’t present at the photo shoot for the new kit, which was launched by Real Madrid and Adidas this Tuesday. While it’s true that the entire squad doesn’t attend such photo shoots, Ramos has always been a central figure in such campaigns. It’s not known if this decision was the club’s or Ramos’ or a mutual one. It could also be the case that the photo shoot was held when Ramos was in isolation due to COVID-19, but Adidas always want as many stars as possible present and the dates would have been moved if there had been a desire for the captain to be present. It should also be pointed out that this has nothing to do with ...

Adidas frustrated with Manchester United over sharp decline in shirt sales

Adidas are growing disgruntled with Manchester United after a downturn in shirt sales, according to the Daily Mail. With the deal that Man United agreed with Adidas worth in the region of £78M-a-year, as per the Daily Mail, you’d expect that it would be a relationship the club would try to keep healthy. However, the report claims that Adidas were frustrated with the Red Devils for their failure to brief them on plans for their involvement in the proposed European Super League. There is now also further discontent, with Adidas wary of Man United’s decline in shirt sales. The Daily Mail claim that shirt sales have fallen 100,000 over the last two years. It’s not exactly clear why that would be the case. You could argue it’s as a result of United’s decrease in quality on the field, or it coul...

China Calls For Boycott of Nike, H&M After Being Called Out For Abuse of Uyghur Muslims

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Kevin Frayer / Getty The United States took a hard stance on alleged human rights abuses against the Uyghur Muslim minority in China, and now western-based retailers are feeling the repercussions of it. Western-based companies, including Nike and H&M, are now facing calls for boycotts in China. The backlash comes after the United States said it would halt all cotton imports from China’s Xinjiang region, a leading global supplier of the material over what it considers forced labor concerns. Retailers have also taken a stand by issuing previous statements addressing concerns. Nike wrote in its statement, “We are concerned about reports of forced labor in and connected to the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Nike does not source products from the XUAR,...
