Run the Jewels Performing RTJ4 in Full for Adult Swim Voter Registration Concert

Run the Jewels are taking their “fuck the political, the mission is spiritual” message to Adult Swim. The rap duo of Killer Mike and El-P will take over the TV channel for a full-album performance of their latest album, RTJ4, to promote voter registration and the ACLU. Airing Saturday, October 10th at midnight ET and simul-streamed on AdultSwim.com, the performance is dubbed “Holy CalamaVote” (a play on the RTJ4 track “holy calamafuck”). Presented commercial-free, the show will encourage fans to register for and vote in the upcoming presidential election. Flying Lotus is Spinning a Virtual DJ Set for the Premiere of Adult Swim’s “YOLO: Crystal Fantasy”

Flying Lotus is nosediving into Adult Swim’s quirky universe for a forthcoming virtual DJ set to celebrate the premiere of the network’s new show, YOLO: Crystal Fantasy. The set is included as part of the scheduled programming for the first-ever “Adult Swim Con,” a digital convention beginning this Thursday, July 23rd and running until Saturday, July 25th from 4PM to 10PM PDT (7PM to 1AM ET). Adult Swim Revives Tuca & Bertie for Season 2

Tuca & Bertie officially have their wings back. Season 2 of the animated anthropomorphic sitcom has been revived by Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Created by Lisa Hanawalt, a producer and illustrator on BoJack Horseman, Tuca & Bertie enjoyed just one season on Netflix before being canceled July 2019. The pulling of the plug came as a shock, as the TV series earned rave reviews right from the get-go. Sadie Dupuis’ Sad13 Return with New Song “WTD?”: Stream

Led by Speedy Ortiz’s Sadie Dupuis, indie outfit Sad13 are back with their first single in three years. It’s dubbed “WTD?”, standing for “What’s the Drama?”, and is the latest entry in Adult Swim’s eclectic ongoing Singles Program. According to a statement, today’s track is the first Sad13 recording to feature live band members Zoë Brecher (drums) and Audrey Zee Whitesides (bass). Altogether, the three musicians serve up a bubbly, sunny affair complete with a solo sitar debut from Dupuis. Editors’ Picks Despite its upbeat nature, though, “WTD?” actually addresses rather bleak, apocalyptic subject matter.
