Presidency: Benue governor politicising insecurity

The presidency has said President Muhammadu Buhari expressed his condolences to the families of citizens who lost their loved ones in the recent spate of killings in Benue State. Also, presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, in a statement on Thursday night, said the president stated that the rising level of incidents, especially the killings and violence in various parts of the country calls for further collaboration with security agencies to curb its recurrence. Katsina governor: State of emergency won’t solve security problems

The Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, on Thursday said that declaration of state of emergency on security will not solve the security situation in the country. The House of Representatives had on Tuesday in its resolution on a motion over the worsening security situation in the country called on President Muhammadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency on security. Osun governor urges Muslims to embrace coronavirus vaccine

Gov. Ishaq Oyetola of Osun on Saturday urged Muslims to support government”s effort and embrace COVID-19 vaccination to curtail the spread of the life threatening virus. Kaduna screens youths for community policing to curb insecurity

Kaduna state government has started screening youths in its preparation to commence community policing to tackle insecurity in the state. The Acting Governor, Hadiza Balarabe, chaired a meeting which is part of the consultations in the three senatorial districts on how to address insecurity on Monday. The meeting had senators, members of the House of Representatives, state House of Assembly members and chairmen from the 15 local government areas in Kaduna North and Kaduna Central senatorial zones as well as District Heads in attendance. CSR: Dangote Cement commits N4 billion to projects in Ogun host communities

Makamba Online Dangote Cement Plc, says it has committed over N4 billion into various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects in its 14 host communities in Yewa land in Ogun.
