Black Belt Eagle Scout Announces New Album The Land, The Water, The Sky with First Single: Stream
Katherine Paul, a.k.a Black Belt Eagle Scout, has revealed her new album, The Land, The Water, The Sky, will arrive on February 10th via Saddle Creek. The news dropped along with the LP’s first offering, “My Blood Runs Through This Land.” The Land, The Water, The Sky largely focuses on Paul’s experience of moving back to the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community in Washington from Portland, Oregon in 2020. In a statement, Paul shared that the album was created “to record and reflect upon my journey back to my homelands and the challenges and the happiness it brought.” She recorded the project in the ancestral Coast Salish territory with co-producer Takiaya Reed, and wrote and composed the set entirely on her own. Shame are back at it again: The UK rockers are set to share their next album Food for Worms on February 24th via Dead Oceans, and they’re celebrating the announcement today with its lead single “Fingers of Steel.” Additionally, the group have mapped out their largest headlining tour to date for 2023, trekking across Europe and North America. My Morning Jacket have announced a new deluxe edition of their 2011 album Circuital, out December 9th via ATO Records. Available in 3xLP and 2xCD physical formats, the expanded set will include 10 previously unreleased demo recordings. As a preview, MMJ have shared a demo of the title track. Circuital (Deluxe Edition) will come in three vinyl variants: “Setting Sun” (orange vinyl mixed with bright transparent yellow), “Lucifer’s Beach” (opaque blue and ultra-clear marble colored vinyl), and “Inner Light” (neon magenta vinyl mixed with ultra-clear swirl). Måneskin Announce New Album Rush!
Italian glam rockers Måneskin have announced a new album called Rush!, due out January 20th. The band’s third full-length will be available in a variety of configurations, including on CD and standard, white, red, and picture disk vinyl, with special box sets for sale as well. A full tracklist is still forthcoming, but the band previously previewed the album with “The Loneliest,” a melodramatic breakup ballad. Check out the record’s artwork below. Morrissey has announced his new solo album, Bonfire of Teenagers, which will be released in February 2023. Bonfire of Teenagers was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Andrew Watt. Across the album’s 11 tracks, Morrissey is joined by several big-name collaborators, including Miley Cyrus, Iggy Pop, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith and Flea, Josh Klinghoffer, and Jesse Tobias. MGMT Plot Release of Live Album 11-11-11, 11 Years Later
On November 11th, 2011, MGMT performed an original 45-minute piece at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York to mark the opening of an exhibit celebrating the artist Maurizio Cattelan. Now, the band will finally release that performance as a live album, appropriately titled 11-11-11. The project, of course, arrives on 11-11-22. MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser were commissioned to write music in response to the 2011 Cattelan display, which suspended 130 pieces of art from varying heights. “We’re creating a musical experience that works for the building and for the construction and presentation of the Cattelan exhibit,” the duo said at the time. “It’s an art exhibit done in a completely original way, so it deserves music which is completely original.” After debu...
