Iceage Announce Rarities Album Shake the Feeling, Share Title Track: Stream
Iceage have revealed that a new compilation album titled Shake the Feeling: Outtakes & Rarities 2015–2021 will arrive on September 23rd via Mexican Summer. The announcement comes along with a music video for the title track that showcases the Danish quintet’s raw and visceral live set. Over 12 tracks, Shake the Feeling offers a peek into the band’s vault during the era between 2014’s Plowing Into the Field of Love to last year’s Seek Shelter. Dean Fertita is returning with a new solo album. The Queens of the Stone Age member will unveil Tropical Gothclub on November 4th via Third Man Records, and as a preview, he’s shared its lead single “Wheels Within Wheels” today. Known for his work in more garage rock-forward bands — QotSA, The Raconteurs, and The Dead Weather — Fertita has used Tropical Gothclub as his chance to branch out. Bill Callahan has announced his new album, YTI⅃AƎЯ, which, in case you didn’t guess, is the word “reality” spelled backwards. The project will arrive on digital platforms and CD on October 14th via Drag City, with the vinyl edition releasing next year. He also unveiled a new run of California tour dates (grab your tickets here). The lo-fi artist’s main collaborators on YTI⅃AƎЯ were Matt Kinsey on guitar, Emmett Kelly on bass/backing vocals, Sarah Ann Phillips on piano/backing vocals, and Jim White on drums. Drowning Pool are returning with the new album, Strike a Nerve, on September 30th. The band has also paid tribute to the late Pantera members Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul with the lead single “Mind Right.” Honoring their fellow Texans, the Dallas-based Drowning Pool wrote the song shortly after Vinnie Paul died in 2018.
